This is nothing I haven't already told you...

I told you it over the weekend thinking you might try one, but if you don't want to, don't. I found the flavor to be better. You may well do it and find no difference. I mean, you live in Canada, so how much appreciation for the finer things can you really have?

It is not much trouble to try it, and RiP Trippers has a nice video demonstrating the technique. If you know microcoils, you can do it without any problems. My first one was a success. The 3/32" is a perfect size for this, since I find 5/64th and smaller "choke off" the air flow...that is your micro coil size of choice, is it not?

Size of choice is 3/32..but I've been told that is a "mini" coil, as is the 5/64..so, you might want to update your learnings there. As for an appreciation for the finer things.. need I remind you that I was the one that got you to finally accept that the kayfun was a "must buy"?!

I'll check out Rip's video, and will consider building a vertical for testing. It's gotta be as simple to swap out the cotton etc though, because these horizontals are super easy to swap out and tinkering time is something that I don't have too much off.

Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!

LOL!!! I'm swimming in the same waters as you.

I don't know if super watts is more a function of vape quality or testosterone. :)

I find 10 watts to be a sweet spot for me. It is warm flavorful vape with plenty of vapor. Those that cloud chase are all about testosterone IMO

sip vs gulp, sub ohm clouds are like chugging the vape, lower power is like sipping the vape, nothing wrong with sipping and some may enjoy that more, def more stealthy :)

if your vape is too hot then you need more airflow. even at .27 ohms the vape shouldn't be hot, it should be a huge gulp but not hot. kayfun will never really ever do very high power well, the airflow is the limitation

It's all in what you're used to; as well as the sweet spot for the particular juice you're vaping. With the KfL, 11 to about 11.5 watts is usually about right for me.

Thank you Donna & Bronze. I will try a smaller diameter tonight. But I guess what bugs me is that when I dry pull I only get air bubbles on one side as if one of the juice channels were blocked.

Gonna give it another shot, because when it works well there is no better vape.

don't have time for the full explanation... read a couple pages back where we talk about this and what to do... the wicks have got to be placed right there at/on the juice inlets. got to get to work!

Finding 7 wraps of 30 to be better than 10-11 of 28. More flavor and vapor. Wasn't what I was expecting.

-Lord

Now why would this be? They should be in the same ballpark as far as ohms are concerned. What power are you applying to each of them?

Both were 1.6-1.8 ohms and I vape anywhere between 3.6-4.0 volts so that's pretty average I think. Seems like the 30 just heats up instantly and my vape is great. I was using 28 for the last couple weeks and it was time to rebuild so i put 30 in it.

I thought more surface area would give me a better vape 11wraps vs 6-7 but initial testing shows otherwise.

All I can think of is that 11 wraps of 28 was choking the wick in my micro coil set up.

-Lord

You might want to try a little less cotton and letting it soak at least a couple of hours before using. Cotton swells more that silica and if you have a setup that starts fine and then tapers off it might be because the wick has swelled enough to start it choking at the coil a little.
