So I think I figured our my lack of flavor problem...a lack of air, after a jetting adjustment opening the air screw 1/2 turn I found the flavor, not a big fan of the airy draw, but it sure helped the flavor and vapor production. In regards to the don't twist your wick method, i do twist mine and never had anything even resembling a dry hit, even with the thick Bobas Bounty. I did one build with 30ga and did notice the coil fire much quicker than with 28ga, i woulda thought it would have been the other way around, puzzling...I'd think you'd want the quicker fire up time, next build gonna go back to the 30 in the same resistance and see what I get. Keep those tips and tricks coming fellas...thanks again.
I never had an issue twisting my wicks up good when I used to build it at 1.6ohms (I've always had them on Mechanicals, only resently got a Kick2 to regulate it if I want to). Now that I'm building at 1.1ohms and using a Kick2 to crank it to 15 watts wicking issues where quickly evident for me. Took me a while to figure it out but now that I have I have to force myself not to try building them in any other way. Working even better for me now than when I tried my hybrid build with solid mesh wick aided by cotton tails wrapped on the ends. And I was raving all about that build when I did it a month ago. I could try this one with mesh again to see if it does work as some of my juices taste quite a bit better through mesh though.
