Glad that I'm not losing my mind.. I notice it most when I'm spending more than 30 mins out in the cold.

I guess that's a good excuse not to be outside

The cold is also terrible on batteries, a lot worse than on the atty. If you ever leave your mod out in the cold check the battery voltage when it's cold and then again after it's warmed without use. It's usually a fairly dramatic swing. I have known some RC guys who have forgotten batteries and left them in their car overnight or in a garage on really cold nights and it completely killed the batteries.

Yup, that's one reason I'm using 18500's instead of 350's.

Funny that you mentioned that.

Got back in my car after thanksgiving dinner and my provari was completely dead. The battery had a decent charge on it when I left it.

I just wrapped my screw with a little teflon tape. No more leaking. Yay.

You showed him, huh?! :)

Have you seen the Kayfun Lite Plus? it has a countersunk screw hole with a rubber washer on the screw. I guess that's the plus part!

It still leaks from the air hole if I lay it down air hole down.

It does give one of the if not the best vapes I ever had with a 1.7-1.8ohm micro coil and organic cotton wick!

Ok just set up my KFL ehpro clone from mad vapes. This thing is pretty much DEAD ON. The only differences:
Airhole is about half of original so it has a much tighter draw. I actually dig it!
Drip tip isn't exact. It does come with like a little insert you put in and it will accommodate some other tips. It's finicky.
The 510 connection doesn't quite come out as far as original.

Did a 1.1 ohm micro/cotton setup. This thing is VERY VERY nice!!! I'm pleasantly surprised and shocked honestly.

Picture of airholes. Clone on left stock on right.
iPhone not so good at macro but you can kinda see.

Thanks for pointing out the airhole difference. Was considering these for secondary KF's with nano tanks and I just find the draw on the non+ KFL perfect. So much that I sanded down the air control screw on the KFL+ to achieve an identical draw when the screw is sitting flush with the base.

Regarding the ohms for KFL's running on a mech I've found their sweet spot to be right around 1.0 - 1.2ohms with 28awg micro coil over a 5/64" drill bit. Remember a big factor is coil height vs air hole. I set mine 1-1.5mm from the air hole

And regarding cold weather it's still 80° at night here in tropical Puerto Rico. Still vaping vg like a champ! :p

Another note. The airhole where the coil rests has a little raised ring around it. So I put my coil a little higher than the stock one. Works fine. It's definitely good for my beater-take-out-with-me from now on.
