Dragon, would you say the draw is the same on your plus without the screw as it is versus the unplus?

Good question Bronze - but I don't have an unplus to compare it to (just 2 +s). I wouldn't say its a "wide-open" draw, just a little airier than it was with the screw set flush with the bottom of the tank, but with a denser vapour, and I really like it. It opens up a bit more with a larger holed drip tip too, but I like the one it came with because it seems to concentrate the flavour.

I'm guessing if you wanted it even airier you could leave out the screw and drill the air hole out a little but you'd likely lose the warmth in your vape. You could also try enlarging the hole in the stock tip.

I believe it holds 4.5 ml. Just a suggestion to fill with the SS tank...fill a syringe with the 4.5ml. With the KFL upside down, fill through the fill hole. Tilt the KFL about 45 degrees with the fill hole on the lower side. Fill slowly, until you see just a bit of juice start to come through the hole. Remove the syringe, blot up that drop of juice, and replace the fill screw. By tilting it and filling, you will get it just full enough, and still leave that little airspace that the KFL needs.

I can usually tell when I'm getting close to running out of juice. The flavor becomes more concentrated the last tiny bit. Also, if you vape it dry, just rewick, refill, and vape on!

Thanks. I think measuring the juice and filling with a syringe will make this thing easier to use for sure. I'll have to pick up a few of them.

You can also just use a bottle with a needle cap...many vaping sites sell them. You won't know exactly how much juice, but, if you go slowly and tilt, you won't overfill.

The two concerns I have with the plus is the reports that they whistle and I don't know how well that air control works. Sounds like both issues are not issues.

Thanks Dragon.

Thanks. So things like a fruit flavor with some menthol in it seem to be ok? The one juice I seem to never get bored of is mt baker vapors extreme ice. It's a spearmint menthol and it's strongly flavored. I'm afraid to try it in the kayfun right now. Maybe once I get a spare clear section. I tried the full stainless tank but I can't seem to figure out when it's full, how much juice I have left, etc. plus I'm afraid of vaping my cotton wick dry.

Hmm. Maybe if I grab a syringe with ml's marked on it I can use that to fill a measured amount of juice. If it had a long enough needle I might be able to pull the juice from a partially full tank, measure it, and then top it off before I leave the house.

I love this atty, just gotta figure out its quirks and adapt my gear/methods to them.

I vape mbv thug juice and hawk sauce with no problems. I wouldn't do extreme ice with the clear section

Both Busardo and this guy said it whistles. That would drive me crazy. I wonder if Svoemesto has addressed this.

Thanks

I think it seems that any device with AFC has a change to whistle.. I guess it's hard to test for whistle sounds unless you physically test out each unit by sucking into them. :(

I bought 3 KFL+ 2 of them whistle, 1 of them does not whistle.

Update on my KFL+. I took a dremel to it again and redid my afc screw with more care not to damage the remaining threads. . Now it works just like I want it to. I can set it identically to the non plus kfl and go airier or tighter. I also took the dremel to the vertical juice channels with a tiny diamond dust covered grinding bit. Juice flow at 15 watts is now perfect! I only enlarged the channels about 25% and I didn't change my wicking method at all. Getting nice wet dripper like vapes consistently at the higher power levels.

As for whistling and air flow I noticed you can tune the whistling out by aligning the center post screw so that the air hole that goes across the screw lines up with the main air hole on the side of the base. Air flow increased a bit this way as well.

I can finally say I really like the + over the non +.

Does yanking the flow screw eliminate the whistling?
