Got my self a kayfun lite + yesterday. She vapes like a dream.

Can anyone tell me if the clear tank section can be damaged or cracked by certain juice?

I've always used glass tanks so this makralon stuff is new to me.

I don't under everyone's aversion to the stainless tank section. My plastic part is still new in its wrapper and I will never use it. All my juices are fruit or coffee. Just because SvoeM designed kayfuns with a bottom fill hole doesn't mean that is the only way to fill them. I have also never used my fill hole because of the leaking and not knowing when it is full problems.
Just use the stainless tank, fill from the top cap per the many instructions online and be happy! I really wish I could have a cool looking clear section on my klite but come on are you really going to risk degrading plastic chemicals into your juice just so you can see inside or look cool?
Even if you don't use a juice that cracks these tanks, the tank gets hazy over time, where are those chemicals going?
Send me a pm if you want my stock makrolon tank section. Ick.

I picked up the ehpro kfl clone at the madvapes retail store today....I feel kinda guilty:unsure:

I wouldn't feel guilty DonnaH. I have 2 oem and that's likely it, but if/when SlowTech clones the + I'll try one, and maybe a couple if they're a decent replication. ;) What's the worst that can happen? I'll end up with a $20 Chinese whistle?

Pretty close, looks to be a cloned Russian 91%, well maybe a little of both, it has the drip tip and fill screw of the KFL and air control of the +

I have nothing against the stainless section, in fact I think it looks cool installed. I just don't like to leave the house without knowing my juice level. I've read that top filling doesn't work very well but I'll check around for some instructions and give it a shot.

If someone could figure out how to design a stainless replacement tank with a couple of tall skinny viewing slots and a Pyrex glass sleeve on the inside I bet it would sell like crazy.

Before I leave the house I pull the top off and fill it up and I bring my juice with me because I can also fill on the go. I cannot imagine using that tiny little fill hole for how many times I filled, drained and refilled in the process of finding a good coil setup. Hundreds. That would be countless hours squeezing a juice bottle and not even knowing when it's full.

Google how to top fill a kayfun or watch Angela's video at vaperev or send me a pm and I'll explain the 10 second process.

I'm looking up some videos now. Looks easy enough. Maybe I got lucky but my first coil has worked so well that I haven't bothered to drain and recoil. I've just been replacing my cotton and doing a dry burn every couple of tanks or so.

A couple days ago I saw a vid posted here on the Navy Coil or something like that, an english version of a wrap from NavyLifeguard in German I think. Was intrigued, but prefer cotton to silica so tried this. Have to say it's the best build I've found yet for my kfl+. It's so much more airy that I almost considered closing down the airflow screw a bit. I think this is a keeper. NavyCoilCotton.lores.jpg

Very nice dreadymark!!! I too have been thinking of trying this out.
Isnt this the one they say works rather well with high VG levels?

That I can't say, haven't heard. But that makes sense to me in theory. 1st tank was filled with Altered State and 2nd with Frenilla. Worked great for both but I'm still, for the 1st time ever, actually considering a little tightening of the airflow screw. Haven't yet though as I am quite happy with it.

What would be the best pg/vg ratio to run in a Kayfun? Also, with the wicks touching the juice channels or right up against the coil assembly thing's wall? In one I'm using 100% vg. It works alright but doesn't wick nearly as fast as the 50/50 in my other Kayfun. It starts getting dry after a few consecutive hits. And the 50/50 leaks just a tiny bit occasionally.

Leaks are generally a wick issue, too little or too much, or coil placement. In my experience. I run 50/50 mostly. I'll use up to 80vg/20pg but if the wick is not perfect you will get the occational dry hit. Also running higher ohms helps eliminate dry hits. 1.5 is the highest I'll go. .8 being the lowest

I wanna get twisted, little help guys...I prefer a 1.2-1.4 ohm rating on my KF coils, if I were to build a twisted Kanthal micro coil how many wraps wold it take to reach my ohm rating ?

I'm really curious about this too. Eager for replies, but may just have to try for myself if none come back soon!
