el dee,

I wrap a 1.8ohm on a 3/32”...6 wraps of 30g...cotton ball in my KFL. In my experience, the 30g heats up quicker...and it's not the wick that lasts longer, it's the one that tastes better. The coil will need to be dry burned before the wick really needs to be replaced. I dry burn every other tank full, and, since you can't dry burn cotton, rewick as well.

The top part won't unscrew from the m tank. Anyone have any idea how to loosen it up?

Elastic bands, one on each part will help with the grip to twist it off. Always works for me..

Edit: Whoops, just noticed that Paul kinda already made the same recommendation.

It's been mentioned in previous threads, just wondering if these designs have actually been ripped off, or licensed for reproduction by the original designers...guess we'll never know.

The Chinese don't seek licenses for anything. They couldn't care less about patent rights or any other proprietary protection. Inventors spend bookoo time and money inventing things and as soon as it hits the market the Chinese are right there breaking it down and reverse engineering it. No guilt, no hangups, no regard, no nothing. Worse yet, we do nothing about it.

Bronze I'll be watching out for Max....

Vapdivrr my Plus should be here any day...I'll be running it on a Pro-Vari and figured it would be a good match from 1.5~2.0...I gotta spool of 28 and 30...I'd read that someone was changing their cotton wick after every tank...This had me mildly concerned but I do realize YMMV...I can likely kill most of a tank in a day...The hemp sounds like more than I can schedule...I got more than plenty of bits and will pick up some cotton balls soon....

Dust that coil looks great...11/12 on a 5/64th @1.6...I could live with that...That'll accept the yarn in its original diameter with none removed....correct????

El, it depends on the juice, but changing the cotton after every tank is not out of the question. There are some juices I vape that wouldn't make it through one tank. On the plus side, it's really not much effort to change out the cotton wick.

Bronze I DIY and always shoot for clean vaping mixes...Hoping the KFL+ will allow me to clean my mixes even farther.....

Dust I like everything about your set up...My buddy was wrapping on a 16 gauge and removing one or more threads....I'd prefer your set up...It would be easier and faster for me to re-wick wherever I may be..

That's been my gameplan, quick and efficient! When you've got a 5 year old vying for your attention, fiddling with coils and wicks is not something you want or can do.

I can take apart, clean and re-wick my KFL in a couple minutes and that is crucial to me..

I build a new coil maybe once a month if needed, or if I'm experimenting with a new setup. That happens only when I have fiddle time. The rest of the time it's quick swap of wick..

i wouldnt say "we" do nothing, New York customs agents love to tear open packages and find a reason, any reason to send you a nasty letter about how you will never see your package.
