So I got my clear KF parts the other day. Had to re-wick one of my KFL's today, so I decided to try out the clear chimney bits. It's pretty neat being able to see inside, watching the juice flow into the chamber and also seeing the chamber fill with vapor (when using a mirror lol). I also sanded down the top chimney part to nano length. It was super easy, and now I can use my nano tank with all drip tips. I'd say it's worth getting the whole kit just to get the plastic top chimney, and shorten it for nano tanks (if you have a short tank but full size chimney).

So I've been wondering - I'm curious as to how far the juice travels up the vertical channels and the side of the deck during a draw, and if it then recedes back into the horizontal channels when the draw is complete and the pressures are equalizing?

I've noticed on my 3.1 (but not on the lites) that when my juice gets low in the clear window, I'll take a vape and the juice really drops down, stays there for a few seconds, and then slowly rises back up in the tank.

Kinda like I would expect it to work (??)

Yeah, when I take a draw while looking in a mirror to see the chamber, I can see the juice rise up to the deck area, and then fall back down into the main tank. It's pretty cool being able to actually see it working :)

My lack of desire for an all clear Kayfun is fighting against my urge to really want to see that in action.

Is the flavor and performance just as good with the Clearfun?

Yeah, it's exactly the same. It would be even cooler if the 2 chimney parts didn't come apart. There wouldn't be any threads, and you could see inside even more.

So I bought a Kayfun mini to go on a pipe mod that won't be here for a little while yet. Set it up tonight in long mode just to see how it vapes. This is one skinny, potent little atty. It is just as good as the KFL. Love that the fill port and the AFC are both accessible without taking it off the mod.

Thank you so much for sharing this info. I have been preaching to everyone this is how the Kayfun system works. This clear tank would be a great trouble shooting tool for users who had leaking/flooding issues in that it would show the tank was not "sealed up" and not holding a vacuum.
A tank that does not create a vacuum during the inhale as juice flows from the tank and then hold that vacuum can not pull the unwicked juice back into the tank from the lower deck after the inhale is finished.
I have got to get this clear tank and chimney.

That is the Kayfun system working just like it was designed to work. I did not realize it pulled that much juice to the lower deck during the inhale though .
Thanks for the video.

Those first 2 pulls are a bit stronger than normal to better show the juice moving. On the 3rd, where I actually take a vape, the juice doesn't really move that much. The clear chimney can be bought here. The short clear tank was bought from a guy on calivapers forum.

There was a guy in another thread just a few minutes ago that was having flooding problems with his tank. I told him to check the small oring that is in the top cap that the chimney goes through. He emptied his tank and found the oring not seated properly. He fixed is oring and his flooding issue was solved. I told him to come over and look at your video and see how this system works when it is correct and able to hold the vacuum.

Thanks to your video (that was cool) and link, I just made my first FT order. Hopefully they'll ship before their long holiday starts.

I want to buy a mini to use in drip mode.. Have you used it in drip mode? And if so, how is it?

I just received my first mech, HCigar's Nemesis clone.
My current budget prompted me to get a clone, along with the fact that it's my first mech.
This clone is VERY well made, the fit and finish is near perfect.
Would anyone that has both the genuine and the HCigar clone like to chime in on the differences?
I might not buy the genuine if the differences are just subtle...
(I like to support the companies that did all the original work over companies that just copy existing products. Both of my KFL+'s are genuine)

Anyway, I'm not much of a poster. If I can contribute anything or help in any way I will surely post. Classic forum lurker here
I love the thread here, and I love you guys dishing out your time to help us all out.

I believe the top cap is more open, to hold juice. I have a new top cap coming for my Aqua and KLite. Science Of Vaping work looks great from pix. Will post once i get my top cap on the KLite. Next upgrade will be the glass tank mod. I have Grenada in a KLite, and i did replace the upper o-ring. Grenada was swelling the oem o-ring.
rampage_lite-monday.jpg = Grenada in my KLite past 4 months. Micro coil n cotton, perfect performance with no leaks.
