oh really? Im thinking of getting a glass kit too and didnt think it would affect bottom filling. I only did top fill since Im using the metal middle tank piece for my nano kit and thought id be able to better judge how much im filling in.

The SOV glass kit, is supposed to be bottom fill friendly... Will post results later this week, as mine is in the post. Top fill is not all bad, the delrin top cap i have has a channel for the chimney to slip into, snug fit.
I know others have posted regarding your issue, some have posted that low ohms on a kayfun is a flavor killer, while this might be true to some, I beg to differ. if set up correctly a .9 coil can produce just as good, if not better flavor then a higher resistance coil. I believe however your issue is wick coverage, 5 or 6 wraps is just not enough for your set up. with 28g wire you need at least 10 imo and up to 12. the issue with this might be a certain lag in your coil depending on your wattage preference. if you can or like to vape at the max limits of a vv device, then this 28g at 1.3ish ohms is a great set up. if you prefer lower wattages then switching to a 30g is better suited. either way I would recommend at least 10 wraps, maybe 8 at the lowest but not 5 or 6.
hey buddy. im doing good my friend, staying busy and keeping out of trouble. yes im a low ohm vapor by heart and im sticking to it. just put together a fantastic build for my dna-20 mod, its twisted 27g, 5/64 diameter at .7Ω, vaping at 20 watts on my modded kayfun, its putting out some of the best flavor of any kayfun builds to date.Always got to be contrary, huh?

This probably sounds like a dumb question, but I am completely new to kayfuns. I recently purchase an ehpro kfl and was wondering if I should be using o rings on the poly tank? It didn't come with any assembled on it. I have it set up with out any on it right now and there hasn't been any leakage. Just trying to avoid disaster.
If you wanna drill the air intake on the kayfun,a squape is a tighter draw than a kayfun,airflow is thru the 510 connection not the side also its heavier,taller and 1mm bigger diameter.
I have one too and noticed that as well. I put some on as I had extras. Just felt safer to me. I don't think it matters too much either way.
They're there to make an airtight seal, more so than prevent leaking. If you're not having flooding issues, and it's not leaking, then it looks like you can get away with not using them. I'm surprised that it's working without them though.
No new build yet, I'm finishing the tankful of e-liquid in there since I'm getting at least some flavor. But I noticed something as I've been trying different builds but forgot to ask about it before. The small top cap that goes onto the chimney, it seems like its designed to have an o-ring that would seal against the top of the cylindrical part of the chimney. Mine doesn't have an o-ring and I did check the package of extra parts and didn't see one in there. Since the packet even included a super tiny o-ring for the fill screw I can only assume there isn't supposed to be one. Just want to check to be sure.

All my authentic ones don't have a oring, while all my clones have a white/semi translucent flat oring at the chimney top section.

So I usually use a 1.4mm screw driver to measure the distance between the coil n the deck airhole screw. Usually I do less the 1.4mm enough for the flat head to fit under but not enough for the whole screw driver to fit under. Well I decided to do set it so that the screwdriver fits making the distance 1.4mm n I noticed the flavor was muted.
How are some of you guys having 2mm gaps? I'm gonna re do the gap to lessen it in the morning

Longtime lurker, figure I can help with this one. I have 3 KFL+ from EHPro and don't use the o-rings on any of them for the clear tank section. The fit of the clear to stainless sections is such that o-rings would be overkill but YMMV. If in doubt, test. With the Kayfun empty (and assembled) just cover the airhole and draw on it and listen and feel for any air leaks.

One thing I found out real quick though...everything goes together MUCH smoother if I put a tiny drop or two of juice on the poly tank threads and o rings before I attempt to screw everything together. Once I do screw the items together, I'll screw/unscrew/screw/unscrew/screw to make sure everything is lubed with the juice. Doing this covers everything...and putting it together is like butter!
Just a tip I've learned, fyi.

No o ring is needed in that location.
The o rings are needed only where "pressure" is needed for the unit to function properly...and that location is inside the pressured tank already...so no further "sealing" is needed.
Can anyone recommend me a drop kit that matches the brushed KFL+ and spot on with the original craftsmanship? Not a fan of eBay too. Got a new mech running 18350 and the Kayfun looks too big on it.
