Does anyone else who has more than 1 kayfun lite plus to compare feel like some are more constricted than others? I just received a new KFL+ v2 and the draw seems really tight compared to my previous ones even when fully open..

I had 4 kfl+ v1 (before my apartment got broken into) and 1 v2. I find them to be the same actually. But I have heard some people mention that they find the v2 draw is tighter.

The draw would be tighter if the air hole in the centre post did not line up on the inside with the air hole passage in the base. I've seen that happen a few times. Insert a paper clip and slowly turn the centre post screw to make sure that the two air holes line up.

I'm going to check this out just to make sure. If it is a partial line up, I assume (hate the word) the draw will be tighter? TIA

When changing flavors, I will carefully wipe the deck off with a piece of paper towel, but do not try to wash it down. Dry burn takes care of the wick and it's environs I figure. Getting that new one in there makes the big difference.

Anyone have any advise when changing flavors? Obviously clean parts and change wick (microcoil and cotton yarn). What about cleaning the deck? Will a dry burn take care of that?

I usually just rinse out my deck/coil assembly when changing wicks..

If a complete flavour change, I will also rinse out the tank, chimney, etc.

Actually nevermind.. I just tested the draw on both my KFL+ v1 and v2 they both have the same tight draw.. I guess since I been using my drippers exclusively.. the Stillare and TOBH, the KFL draw seems so tight.. I guess once you go dripper it's hard to go back lol

Hahahaha.. But a kayfun set up right is much nicer. Its just to hard to drip n drive, for me. I still drip, use gennys, kayfuns and start the day on a heron + gvc. Each device has its own character.

if your good with drills or have a drill press i highly recommend drilling out the airhole on the kfl+ base. It really does help the draw become easier because you have a wider bore reaching to the center pin.... also takes care of whistle so your hitting 2 birds with 1 stone.

Hell, I just used my hands, cobalt drillbit + drill, and bacon grease as cutting oil and it came out clean. lol

^ Nice I do about the same i'd say i'm about 1.5mm I lift mine up just enough so it doesn't short or touch the air hole, do you guys notice any difference in terms of coils gunking faster or slower depending on the height of the coil? I know I like it as close as I can get it to the air hole cause it gives me less TH.

I'm right there with you on height & TH. I only see more gunking with darker or sweeter juices...

I need some help from your experience with filling and re-filling. On one "to the brim" re-fill I was getting burn hits. I took off the top cap, got the air bubbles out, emptied some of the juice, re-capped, blew it out from the air hole, and was OK.

I'm finding that I get the best flavor when the juice is below the clear section of tank when upright. Above that level, I don't get full flavor.

Any suggestions on filling and re-filling will be greatly appreciated, such as top fill vs. bottom fill, and how much. Thanks!

Oh, and I'm still on my original cotton wick after 3 days! Is that normal? How much mileage do you guys typically get out of a good wick?

Kayfun Lite - User Manual (English)
Do not fill the tank to the top
When refilling, leave small amount of air in the tank so there is something to expand during the draw and e-liquid could flow into evaporation chamber.
When refilling through the вгые рщду <fill hole>, stop when e-liquid covers the transparent body part; when refilling through the top cap, leave 2-3 mm of air at the top of the tank.

As to the wick, I change my cotton wicks anywhere from 2 to 4 days, depending on which juice and coil it's in. Some juices gunk up quicker than others.

I took my KFL+ with me into a warm (87 degrees) car, and was getting gurgling/flooding. Anyone else experience that? Had to blow it out.

Definitely happened to me last summer. Not enough temperature difference around here, yet, but I expect to see it soon.

    Again from the User Manual:
Leaks may also happen when ambient temperature and/or pressure changes abruptly, for example when you walk into a heated room from the cold or in an airplane during takeoff/landing.
It may even happen during rapid ascent/descent in express elevator.
Solid (metal) parts of the device are expanding/shrinking with temperature/pressure change, changing the volume of the tank and causing e-liquid to flow into the evaporation chamber.

I get the Latakia and Burley. Makes for a great combo. Wonder how the orders are going out with Clay. Have you heard?

I was lurking in his thread when it seemed he was back in action. So I made my first small order with him (Order#: 1820 placed on 02/22/2014). Then stuff happened and I was beginning to wonder just a little. But I got shipping notice two days ago and it arrived today, just shy of 7 weeks.

Sitting with caps off right now.

I feel the same way I compared the two products I definitely don't like the 510 pin of the Russian 91% v2

The spring tension has already decreased. I'm lucky to have mods with adjustable center posts. I've had to raise it twice now and my ohms are jumping all over the place.
