I feel the same way... I've tried other tips but love the small ones on the KF's best. I'm not fond of the wide bore tips, personally. I've looked to try to find others like the Kayfuns.

Not a fan of the wide bore here either. It's partially the reason that I've assigned the Plus V2 to my Epipes. I've swapped out the wide-bore tip for a pipe stem. All my other Lite's have the original drip-tip.

These do all look good, but do you find that the flavor becomes muted with the wide bore drip tips?

Yeah it does, I mostly use that stubby plain tip in the pics because it's hole is wide enough to stop condensation issues but still gives good flavor. I didn't realize how much wide tips muted flavor until I got my kayfun, never noticed much of a difference on drippers with huge airflow, but the kayfun flavor is so good I notice it more when it's gone. Kind of a shame because most of the cool tips out there are wide bore ones.

A drip tip with different inserts for air adjustment would be a good product I think!

Stainless steel is probably the only material that can withstand my abuse. :D then again, I love the look of brushed stainless, and have no issues with the taste.

I also like having my tongue just a small distance from the hole of the stock kayfun drip tip when I vape, especially for dessert juices. Gives me a nice tinge of sweetness.

Does the Kayfun Lite Plus v2's drip tip mute the flavor in comparison as well? I picked up a EHPro KFL+ v2 for me and my buddy because it was cheap on a group buy.

No. I bought the KFL v2 cause I thought that the new drip tip design looked cool and I thought the drip tip was wide bore. the v2 drip tip actually looks like a wide bore drip tip but it actually has a small bore!

Hello all. I need some help troubleshooting this mystery. I got my very first KFL+ (authentic) about 2 weeks ago. My very first build was a great success, then at some point the flavor went from KABOOM to almost none. Plenty of vapor, no dry/burnt hits, just no flavor. I've tried everything I can think of to solve this, and am out of ideas, and hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. Here are the details:

My Build:

Micro coil/cotten. 6 tight wraps on 3/32" (2.38 mm) drill bit, tweezed and torched = 1.8Ω every time, voltage on provari 3.7 to 3.9.

What I've Tried (without any success):

Wicking: Less wick, more wick, medium wick, longer tails, shorter tails, always out of the way of the canals, but at least resting on the deck.

Coils: Have re-coiled 2 or 3 times, and tried higher and lower placement over the air hole. My coils are beautiful and fire just right (from middle out).

Cleaning: Have totally disassembled, cleaned everything, dried and reassembled.

Airflow: Tried adjusting airflow: tighter/looser.

Juice (50/50 Ahlusion Maple Dream): After all else failed, I had to consider the unlikely possibility that I had a bad bottle of juice, so I switched to a tried and true and got the same results.

Filling: FWIW, when I top fill, I always get leaking through the air chamber after tightening the cap and releasing my thumb from the air hole. I always have to blow it out after that, but no leaks thereafter.

All o-rings seem fine and all fittings secure.

FWIW, I also have a Russian 91% using the same build with no problems.

OK Guys, what am I missing here?
Finally decided to do a juice swap between the flavorless KFL and my R91 (They were different, but complimentary flavors). It did try a different juice in the problem KFL previously, but that must have been a bad build. No re-wicking or re-coiling this time. Just emptied out the juice and refilled with opposite flavors. This time the KFL quickly popped with the "good" juice. The R91...hmmm- Where's the flavor??? Same issue as with the same juice in the KFL. Put a different juice in the R91 and BOOM! Can't believe I got a bad bottle from Ahlusion, but I guess even the best vendors make mistakes in the lab sometimes. Sure did learn this one the hard way, along with lots of good practice at building!

Finally got this tank working perfect,it was pretty simple.I ohm wrap with 28 ga K,raised the coil as far as possible and got the wicks just sitting lightly on the channels.I find a few primer puffs to get the wick wet works too before each blast. With the wicks tucked in the corners i was getting too much juice with flooding and leaking. My airhole is finally bone dry.

All the drip tip talk earlier got me wanting some more for my kayfun, so when I saw these brass and pyrex ones I had to pick them up. The ID of the glass is actually pretty small for how large they look so flavor is still great.

One advantage to the clear drip tips that I never thought of was seeing if there is crap inside your tip. Whenever I have my mod in a pocket or something I get paranoid some lint or something is going to get in the tip and into my mouth, I'm always popping the tip off and looking through it to check for stuff in there, but with the clear ones I can see any potential rogue lint before it has a chance to attack. Peace of mind is priceless ;)

Speaking of mouthpieces / drip tips on the Kayfun ...

I finally removed the stainless drip tip from mine. I just could not get used to the taste of metal in my mouth.

Replaced it with a plastic drip tip ... much better!
Are there plastic drip tips with a small bore?
Just put the stainless tip on the Kayfun and was surprised how much better the flavor was indeed. But, I don't really care for the metal tip. I haven't paid a heck of a lot of attention to drip tips other than pick some up for my wife who likes to color coordinate. If they are super common, I'll just nose around, but if not, could I get a nudge in the right direction? TIA

RTD Vapor has some delrin tips that look like they have a fairly narrow bore. Probably not quite as narrow as the KFL tip, but much more narrow than what you typically see out there now.

I just bought a few shorty drip tips on Fasttech. While not as narrow as the stock tip, they are very good, and comfortable for me. Come in a lot of colors, also black, and stainless.

$1.47 Acrylic Round Mouth Drip Tips for 510 / ViVi Nova / DCT - blue at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Thanks for the help... I'll do a little shopping and hopefully get some new drip tips. Really appreciate the help....:toast:

I use these in the KFL,plastic can be ''scrapped'' and made to be fitted if need be.Plastic also dont feel cold on the lips like SS and ceramic tips.
