I sold all my extra kayfuns since I figured I'm gonna step down my vape game and keep it only to the minimum since I got a good job that will require traveling. Lol I'm down to 1 kayfun since ive been using only 1... Oh I regret not having a 2nd to I can use when trying a new flavor.

Guess I'll pick up another one.

so i picked up a new juice that isnt my usual Suicide bunny of 70vg/30pg. This new jucie is "Puff" pink burst which is pink starburst and more PG it seems cause how liquidy it feels compared to Suicide bunny. Ive never had any wicking issues but damn how i forgot how much faster PG wicks lol.

Well. I used to be a HUGE skeptic when it came to twisted wires. It just didn't make sense to me that it makes that much of a difference.

Got a drill a month ago and tried twisted kanthal, and it honestly blew my mind. The vape IS undeniably that much better. And I got pretty obsessed with it

A week ago someone on ECF suggested I look up mundy's magic wires: they were very intricate twisted wires made up of multiple twisted ribbon kanthal. It has quite a ridiculous cult following.

Long story short, I tried it and it IS phenomenal. Doesn't have CRAZY vapor or throat hit, but the flavor is certainly the best.

Only problem is,
1) it goes through juice like crazy
2) it is very tedious to make
3) well, the process results in a lot of wasted wires. And ribbon kanthal is considerably more expensive than regular.

Btw here is a picture up close: it looks like it's made up of many tiny little cups along the entire length. Crazy surface area

Forgot to say that it's 1.1 ohms.

Heh. I "love the finish". Matches my provari perfectly

Only problem is, damned finish gets all dinged up and scratched bloody easily. This is just from being in my pockets without keys or coins

Am i the only one who ''gently''covers the juice channels with the wick, seems like everyone else has the wicks tucked into the corners of the deck.My therory is by having the channels covered it keeps the ''vacum seal'' and prevents juice from flooding my wicks. So far its been 3 days this way and its working perfect.

You are not alone, Heavyrocker...... I too "gently" cover the juice channels. I find it easier and less "sticky" tucking the wick down over the channels vs using juice to wet and adhere to base. It's just my opinion and I've tried the other ways with great results. Wicking the Kayfuns is truly something that can be done successfully many ways...... :D

Can I see a pic of this. I'd try anything to get mine to work great. Even a tad better. I've tried everything but this keeping wicks in the channel idea and nothing has worked. I'm to the point where I'm gonna try and cut deeper channels in it

Sorry, I do not have a camera handy. Found this on Google but think it's from ECF. Gives a pretty good idea of what the wick looks like without the evap chamber on. You want the wick gently laying across the juice channel, but not actually pressed down in it. You'll get a feel for how much to push to get it the way you want.

I have read no 2 KF tanks are the same, especially from FT,I would not drill iut the channels, you will ruin the tank.Just keep at it,you will get it,took me a week.

Thats pretty much like my build, but my coil is raised way higher.Ill take a pic of mine and post in a few.Im right now doing a 28 ga twisted single coil build, first try,im aiming for a .7 ohm coil.Problem is my single wrap is going great and i dont want to break it down, think ill get another KFL.Another good tip is to half full the tank,NEVER fill to the top.

imo, id clean up the tails more on the deck to a more L shape. Longer half is laid on the deck and the shorter half goes up to the coil.
