That must be why I was so confused by everything on the box. It's like a clone maker just threw in everything they could think of. Oh well. It vapes nicely, and it only cost $26.99, so no biggie.

The Russian 91% is usually around $100 and comes like this:

Russian sealed, Mail.jpg

Russian mail, Main.jpg

This is The Russian (full size), the R-91 comes similarly packaged except that it's box is black colour. And both are superfine RBAs.

I can only conclude that whoever did the listing in eBay has no idea what a Russian 91% is, or they wouldn't have called this by that name. It appears to be just a kayfun Lite, though it is rather different in those small ways I mentioned, from the KFL+

I would contact ebay's Resolution Center and get your money back. They sold you something that was not as described. Its just a kayfun, not a Russian 91% like it says.

For $26.99? I'm not gonna sweat it. I knew it was a clone of some kind, just from the price. I like it anyway, the tighter draw is great.

I saw some J stream clones on eBay advertised as Russian 91 clones because the airflow hole was on the side like the Russian is this the one you got?

Maybe.. it does have an air hole on the side, in the bottom piece (the base where the coil is). It's considerably smaller than the one on my KFL+, but that one was advertised as "2mm air hole".

While I do like the tighter draw, I'm not sure it gives as much flavor as the KFL+, but it does seem a bit warmer, probably because of the lesser airflow. I was using a plastic driptip (can't abide metal in most cases) and it got uncomfortably warm, so I switched to glass, which doesn't heat up so fast.

I will swear by KFL+ forever it just works without issues and is so easy to build and in the end you get great results with flavor.

Haha :) agreed!!!
Loved it since I got it! Then when I started seeing people I know at the vape shops leaving gennys and drippers in favor of kayfuns, I knew I was heading in the right direction. That just speaks volumes to me!!!!

A long time vapor and dripper friend of mine put it this way: "I use a dripper when I want to blow clouds and I use a kayfun when I want to taste the vape."

+1. I second that!

Nearly two years now with K'funs, over a year now with KFLs and Russians ~ Never ever a leak, gurgle, dry-hit, over-wicking, spill / weep / cry whatever. These RBAs are a true/real game changer, they changed my vape life! Perfect from all angles, they just perform!

Which is why I wrote this in Nov-2013:

Ohh Sir, it 'vapes' extraordinarily though
Six Kayfuns down, since six months now, I find it has changed my vape life altogether and became my ADV devices already.

But then, we all are different ~ which yet makes this community (vapers) tick b'coz we are different but supportive and heading towards the same direction TOGETHER, hand's-in-hand. The reason why there are so many devices / attys ~ as there's one for each one for us, right?

I love Kayfuns (note it's me - and my take) b'coz here's My TEN:
1. Easy to build (no NR-R-NR needed, aka CE2 type builds),
2. No 'tilting' needed (aka Gennys),
3. Can be kept whatever way you like (I keep mine horizontally) w/out fear of leaking,
4. The OD is right (22mm) ~ perfect for most mods as they are mostly of similar OD,
5. Easy to change Wick & Coil (hint at Microcoil & Cotton),
6. Is very forgiving. Whatever way you build it - it just performs,
7. Gr8 VTF (yes there are others - but not on as easy builds as the Kayfuns),
8. Good tank capacity (around 4ml) - lasts a day for most,
9. Priced Right√ (around $100 for the K-Lites and the Russians) ~ thus hi-end but affordable,
10. Gr8est for Microcoil & Cotton ~ thus saves time, effort and money.

Nice that GrimmGreen just put up this video a few days back to reassert what we had been saying since long:

I became a Kayfun fan awhile back IMO there is no better Atomizer. I have and authentic 3.1 and Russian and 8 clones from KF 3.1ES to KFL, KFL+ to kayfun mini, I love every one of them. Nothing builds easier and nothing has such a flavorful vape in Tank systems. They even rival many RDA's for flavor I have used. I have had a couple small issues with insulators not fitting properly on some of the clone brands, but a few seconds of fix time has them all running like the Authentic units I have. I just put in my order for the 26650 Kayfun lol 10ML of goodness will look good on my hades mod. There are a ton of options for the kayfuns from size alterations to colorful tanks, what else could you want for an Atomizer. They have absolutely changed my vaping and have become the standard to which all other RBA's are measured.

What's this trick to not get a dry hit? Turn it upside down and blow three times into it? I read it briefly but I can't find it on here now anymore lol. I'm curious cuz I have never had luck with mine. One day a guy at my local vape shop set it up and it was perfect. After that (I kept the same coil) doesn't matter how many times I put a cotton in I just can't seem to get it right. I always find a way to not get it. Lol so I was just curious cuz the old primer pull and spillage thing is old

There's your first clue that it's a fake right there. You can't get a Russian 91 or a KFL for $26.99.

What I ended up doing was added a drop or two of distilled water to my eliquid. Haven't had a dry hit since.

Then you would love a Fasttech Kayfun for under $15 shipped.

Not unless they could get it here in less than a week, for less than $3. The $26.99 came from California, free shipping, and got here in 5 business days. Life's too short for the kind of waiting FT offers. I order stuff sometimes from a place in hong kong, but it's like 3 wks, not 5+. I've seen some stories of fast shipping from FT, but they're by far the exception, mostly I see horror stories of just order and forget about it, it'll be like xmas when it gets here... whenever it gets here.

Is this what you're looking for Daddy dan123?

Try flipping it.. flip back blow down through tip... do it 3 times...Before I went back to blowing down into tip I tried primer puffs and it would take a good 30 minutes for me to get it wicking on its own
