I have a very, very slight leak coming out of the airhole on my kfl+v2. just a tiny droplet or smear of liquid.

what would be the cause? too much cotton?

I lube all of my o-rings and fill screws and tiny washers with clear chapstick. It provides a lube for longer wear as well as creates a killer seal. No leaks! I do not gunk it on. I just rub it into the washers and wipe any excess. Zero leakage.

Filling from the top never made sense to me. Don'y know why people do it???

I've done it a bunch of times. Mostly when I was using a hybrid adapter that covered the fill hole. I can fill from the top perfectly, no problems at all. Also, I like using aftermarket SOV top caps with an extra well in them. When out and about it's easier to remove the top cap instead. Just from my experience.

Never got that one either. The only reason I could see is if someone was having issues with the fill screw leaking. This was an issue with my first kayfun, no matter how tight it was, it still wasn't sealed. This was fixed with replacing the original screw with one of the spares. another reason why some may top fill is maybe they don't own or want to use a screw driver?

How would they build their coil without a screwdriver?

I've always filled from the bottom too Diver...as designed. Never had a lick of trouble.

Maybe the ones that don't have a screw driver, are the same ones that start a thread called" what do you guys think is a fair price for a coil build from my local b & m store". I have always thought that was a strange question here in the rebuildable section of the forum.

I've done it once or twice only emergency I was in a rush and new I wouldn't vape a whole tank. Otherwise it is pointless and asking for issues. And it feels dirty to not use the fill hole. :)
I think it's more dirty doing the fill hole, lol

That's a thread I've never seen? Really?!
So some people think going to the shop to have them build a coil should be free?
Sorry I can't help but find the concept amusing.
Before I make this thread denigrate into any other thread on ECF where an opinion is verbalized. I can see an issue if you are buying the atty and they want to charge more to build it for you. That would bug me too. But, going in after buying online or elsewhere and them taking the time should cost money. I've done it once. I had one leaking for no reason that I could diagnose and closed the airflow screw And it got stuck, Went to my friends shop and he wasn't there so the builder drilled out the hole and rebuilt the atty changing the o-rings and insulator, then recoiled it. He was going to give it to me because he knew the owner and I were tight; but, I made him charge me for the whole thing. The itemized receipt showed a build fee of 20.00 for the coil. I think that's fair for just a coil. Considering if you brought one in for just that they would obviously have to rinse it and dry it l, build and set the coil and wick.

As for the hole you are right reading the words bottom hole sounds a lot dirtier than top hole. And sticking it in the bottom hole..... Ok this post it taking a dark turn

Maybe it's just the local vape shops in this area, but they are terrible. I have been in there a couple of times to just b/s , and to see products. While in there, I'm vaping an aqua. They say is that a big protank? I say no, this is a rebuildable, they say, I never heard of that brand. Seriously.

Once one of my local B&M chaps enquired if my WAE was a new Zmax. When I said ~ "no, it is a Wizard Evolved" he shrugged and said the Zmax is better. WHOA!

Had a noob here on ECF tell me the other day that there are far better options than a Provari for the same money. He had 7 posts. Or should I say we had 19,656 combined between us. :)

We used to have one shop, now we have 8 or 9 but it's nice because one mainly sells mechs, gennys and drippers. Another mostly egos and pts and another one focuses on regulated and tank systems. The test are all in between. One shop will only sell clones while another does only authentic(he regrets that). But the staff is mixed. I've seem one shop where the staff are pretty dumb. I went in just to get coils for my chicks tumblr and ship I was in there the guy asks what I had. I told him a probari and kayfun. Then he asks me what kind of coil. So I told him it was a 1.4 ohm single coil. Then he asks where did I find a 1.4 ohm coil he's seen 1.5 and 1.8. Smh

He was right, you could have gotten 5 or 6 vamos then again you wouldn't have the flux capacitor that thing that makes the provari so good

Sorry been waiting a while to be able to whip out that pic. It's sort of m answer to everyone than wants to nock provari, a whole bunch of power is used when not used
