I just enlarged my intake hole, much better now.

Same model clone.

Drill press and a clamp to hold the KFL? I am worried that I am going to destroy the deck if I try and drill because its so close to the top of it. how deep did you go into it?

It's a real performer now, this is the same one I posted pictures of earlier today but just did the air hole when "you reminded " me.
Enlarged the whole way into the cavity in the base, you take out the 510 post first.

18.5 Watts on the box mod.
Well that's certainly enough power but as you mentioned, vapor production will be low if your not getting enough airflow. Could just be the clone, or there is blockage. Maybe I have asked you this before but are you sure all passage ways are clear? And the hole in the center of the 510 post is lining up correctly? If all this is good then you just might need to increase air flow.

You really need to do something about that. Though I suspect you're nowhere near as pretty as your wife.

When I first joined ECF, my handle was "Edana". It was a combination of my name and my wife's name. People thought I was a girl and I was treated as such. Even got a marriage proposal. :) As you can see, I changed my handle.
So anna, why did you then change it to bronze?

Guys I need help with one of my Kayfuns. It is a Tobeco KFL+ clone, has been working very well for me but recently I came into a problem with it. Excuse my poor terminology, but one of the post decks (the larger one that is on top of a little white insulator thingy) is kinda loose and wobbles around now, even with the screw all the way in. It seems to be affected by the adjustable 510 connection, but me screwing it in or out doesn't really make much of a difference nor does it tighten that post down. Is there anything I can do? It screws up my ohm reading sometimes. It still performs but it just worries me that it might short or whatever if it gets bumped just the right way.

I hope I don't get booted but my friend has a kayfun lite plus clone and uses a ego spinner and I keep telling him get something better for your kayfun. He wants something durable and variable volt and watt mod. something small, round, a single battery and I just dont know what kind out there is like that that would sit flush with a kayfun lite plus clone

You see that Positive Pin/screw in the middle? Tighten it with a flat head screw driver. While holding that Positive Block on the other side and keeping it straight. And if it keeps turning, then you have stripped threads either on the Pin on in the Positive Block.

A VAMO V5 would work.. doesnt quite 'match' with its angled cap, but works good and looks good regardless..

Or a VAMO V2/V4 that has the flat cap... http://www.fasttech.com/product/1517304-vamo-v4-variable-voltage-wattage-mod-apv

Thats the thing... I can't seem to unscrew it out. It just keeps turning and turning, not really coming to a complete lock either way or coming out. I never really messed with it before so I don't think I messed it up unless it just came that way.

What keeps turning? The 510 or the one that goes to the positive block?

Argh... ok I'm gonna vape the hell out of this Kayfun until I finish the juice before I start messing with the screw. I don't want to mess up the resistance or coil and short it when I put it back on my mod. But I can't really do much with the wobbly deck, it can move around but I can't really spin it around to tighten it. The 510 connection screw just keeps swiveling around when I try screwing it, I've tried going both ways and it just doesn't give. It comes slightly out when I screw it the right way but for the most part, it doesn't really go in or out. Gah... that sounds dirty.

To answer your question, I spun the pin until I noticed a slight increase of airflow through the device, but its barely noticable. I can't imagine there being a block anywhere else. Got any ideas?

I'm gonna commit and drill it out when I get to my drill press at my other house. What bit did you use?

Just a little warning on drilling out the side air hole

Many of the clones that came out 2 to 5 months ago have their airholes higher up and really really close to the edge of the base. Def wanna be careful about widening the airhole, especially if you're gonna be centering the drill bit on the existing air hole.

On the other hand, you can easily drill out an authentic to at least 5/64. Anymore, I'm pretty sure wouldn't yield much difference since the limiting point would now be the airhole on the center post exit at the deck

I had stripped threads on my VTR. I could literally just drop the tank in the hole and vape, but it would just fall out if turned on its side or upside side. VTR fixed it for free all I paid was the shipping to them. Just make sure you save your manual it has one of those codes they need to do warranty work.

Yes, this is one of my biggest concerned which is why I think I will wait for the drill press usage. Hold the atty deck and just go super slow. What do you think? I mean worst thing is worst 30 dollar mistake. If I cannot fix this, I think ill get a SS russian, because I did enjoy the draw of that.

Lol I would just clamp the atty with a vice grip, take a 5/64 drill bit, center it on the existing hole and just drill in slowly about 1mm just to see if you have enough clearance. I know the standard hole is 1/16 for sure, so 5/64 should be fine. I've seen my buddy's as well as a good number of pictures online and it was ok. Just gotta make sure you center it perfectly and go straight down.

I've done it for one of my earliest tobeco clone, which fortunately had the airhole smack in the center. Highly highly recommend a good cobalt drill but. You'll be drilling through quite a lot of SS, and if it breaks midway, it'll be a hell of a nightmare
