Indeed. The Germans have always made good stuff. Sometimes to a fault. Many things go obsolete way before they wear out and the Germans never figured that out. I can buy a German-made machine tool that will last 75 years but technology will obsolete it in 10 - 15 years. So why add all the cost of heavy cast iron into something when it is not necessary? Why build a TV that can last 20 years when it will be considered a dinosaur in 5 - 10 years?

Look at the beetle..
Still making movies about them- hahaha
They also invented jeans

My fastech kayfun has perfect threads. I don't know who made the other 2. Stop bashing the Chinese made kayfuns. I bet most are as good as the originals.

Honestly, I have an original R91 and KFL
And 2 clones. Both clones are just as good as the authentic. BUT, the clone I have are from 2 of the 3 companies that are widely accepted as being that high a quality and could come out with there own products and be successful at it.
The FT clones that I've tried and seen; do in fact vape as well. But the consistency I'm quality is not there.
No one is saying that the Chinese clones lets can't make a good product and any vapor that says they have NEVER bought a clone product is probably jot being 100% truthful. Most of us openly state we buy both. However, the majority of Chinese clone makers (not all) lack the consistency of upholding the same quality or the authentics.
In other words, yeah they have some high quality stuff roll out but not consistently and they don't do the same extensive quality control check as the authentic companies do.
In the end that's a large portion of what you're paying for when you but the authentic.
That and the simple fact that German factories buy and use a much higher grade of steel than Japanese. It's always been that way. The proof is on the scale.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, as I also stand firmly behind three of the clone makers and buy there products fairly regularly. But I'm just sayin it the way I see it.
A 14 dollar fasttech clone doesn't have the same quality as an ehpro, hcigar or artemus.

o_O

I'm gonna preface this by saying that I love my kayfun clones. At my peak, I had 19 or 20 of those suckers from pretty much every variant from ever manufacturer, and all except 1 worked very very well.

I also think clones are potentially excellent options for those with tighter budgets.

But I'm afraid I have to disagree and say that I find it ridiculous to claim that the Chinese made clones are as good as the original.

All my clones have good smooth threads. But take a authentic and compare side by side, even my mere visual comparison you will most definitely be able to tell a difference.

And if you still insist it's just as good, just compare the juice channels. Like, actually take an authentic and compare side by side. If there's anything, the juice channels is the one thing that NO clone maker has even come close to replicating the quality of an authentic.

Just saying.

Nothing wrong with choosing to support clones. I do. Nothing wrong with thinking some of them are incredible value for money. I do. Heck, there's nothing wrong with saying some clones have better performance than the originals. Just looking at the voltage drops for the copper stingray clones.

But man...... You're pushing it too far when you say a kayfun clone is just as good. Lol. Cos it's not.

I'm bashing Chinese machining. As someone who has made a living around machined parts, I can assure you the Chinese-made gear is poorly machined. That's not to say they don't have some good ones, but in this day and age of Six Sigma, the Chinese don't come close.

Until I see a poorly made kayfun clone, I will believe what I want. And what I see.

Fine with me. I'm simply passing on my experience with Chinese-made threads. I've ruined a mod with them. From that point forward, I've taken a die to all of them and it solved the problem. I've also had about a half dozen clearos I bought in the past that didn't even screw on any mod. Looked at the threads and they were all boogered up.

Very impressive! I'm honored to be associated with you. :)

I do want to be forthcoming and point out that my area of speciality is specifically in thick cut smoked bacons though. And slightly crispy.

And now back on topic: kayfun kayfun kayfun BACONNN kayfun kayfun kayfun

Whats everyone's ideal resistance for the Kayfun? Although I am really liking my 26 gauge kanthal and .9 build right now, I think I will do a few more wraps next time or go back to the 28 gauge wire. It doesn't really vape hot but it feels like... I dunno... too fast?

I vape at 2.0 ohms (30ga, 10 wraps, 2.0mm ID) on a Provari. I never tried 26 gauge but I have tried 28 gauge at 1.5 ohms and it just took a little too long to heat up. But the only opinion that matters as far as you should be concerned is your own.

Very. I'm good with vaping as long as I don't act like a punk and put out clouds. Can't wait to be back home though!

Lmao!!!!
@ kiwi- and your feelin on Canadian Bacon is?

I stick between 1.4 and 1.6 with 28g and absolutely loves it.

Still I'll always say get what you like
Clone/authentic
The way I see it from a users perspective, I will always buy high quality.
The deal got in the R91 and Taifun last weekend does influence my viewpoint more in the "pro-authentic camp" though if such a thing exists.
