Well I used to go all Michael Angelo on the wicks and try to make them optimal for wicking but it seems with stuffed wicks kayfun is still able to keep up even at high wattage. Thanks guys.

After extensive use and experimenting, it is settled that more is better.![]()
Whew..... Glad the issue is finally settled and I can now re-wick with no guilt.......![]()

I totally agree. When I first started building my Kayfun about a month or so ago I was getting burnt taste. I was going by "don't use too much cotton" and "less is more" I wish I knew that from the start. I was also trying to be fancy with it and perfect how the cotton landed on the deck. What a big waste of time. Now I just put the cotton in, make sure it moves slightly between the coil and just stuff it down the deck. Blocking or no blocking of the juice channels I don't look any more. Works very well.
By the way, does any one have any info on how the new kayfun will be different from the current one?

I thought you retired the KFs [emoji1]Hmm.. I'll have to give it a try. I usually trim top to bottom. I don't see why this wouldn't work as well.
