Hey everyone I just received an ehpro kfl+ v2. One question, there is a small black oring spare in the bag, the thing is I don't see it installed on the unit, where does it go? I don't know if I'm missing a part or if this is in the bag by mistake.

Too big, it's exactly the same size as the red orings around the drip tipIt's likely the Oring for your fill port screw.
If your unit has an adjustable 510, there's gonna be one there too

That's what I thought too but it's too big for that, the ehpro doesn't seem to have one like my Russian does which is confusingMust be the drip tip orings.
Could be the inner top cap oring too. I don't know about EHPro

Who wouldn't? But then when you have people get on this thread who have struggled for weeks and months getting their KFL to work right, it's easiest to just tell them to use more instead of less so they get less dry hits and more good hits so they are more happy and less frustrated. Eventually when there is more opportunity we can tell them to use a little less so they have even more success even though it doesn't seem right that using less gives them more...more or less.![]()
How much was 'as reasonably possible' ?
The coil was 5/64" I.D., so a tad under 2mm. I'd estimate the cotton was at least 2.5mm diameter after rolling, twisting and smoothing. It didn't go in easily.
I trimmed the tails to barely touch the juice deck, soaked them, pasted them into place and installed the chimney.
Thats pretty much my everyday setup without issues running at about 16 watts 2+ fills a day. The only word i would change " barely"...... i make sure the tails touch deck with a little extra
Quite often I feel we over think these kayfuns. I and many others have found these to be pretty simple if enough wicking material is used. Baring a missing oring a burr or something like that if enough wicking material is used the kayfun should be trouble free
Did that some time ago with same results. I re wicked 4 times with each time adding more cotton. The final amount was deforming coil to a point where I had to hold coil in place while pulling the densely twisted wick thru coil. Never a dry hit but muted cottony flavor as I increased. One thing that I got out of this was knowing that I couldn't obtain a dry hit from using to much cotton. With the more is better, or less is better theories, obviously a perfect amount is better but imo, i feel slightly more is better then slightly less at least with my wattages, vaping style, and juices. I have tried Slightly less and it just didn't seem as consistent as slightly more. Here again though my slightly less or more can be different to others description, so ultimately it's up to experimentation to find what works best for youLast night I tried stuffing as much cotton through my KF coil as reasonably possible, just to see what the effect would be. This was KGD, stripped of the denser outer layers and rolled between my fingers to make it more compact.
At my usual setting of 12 watts, the only definite difference was that it was quieter, making fewer crackling noises during a draw. Subjectively, throat hit seemed to be less, vapor production about the same, flavor maybe a bit muted. No dry hits, but then I don't do rapid back-to-back drags either.
I'll rewick it after finishing this tank and go back to my usual setup. I don't mind a bit of crackling but do mind using more cotton than necessary for good performance.

This is one of the reasons I love my KF's over the Erlkonigin clones. I don't have to go to beauty school to have perfect wicking.
Totally agree, if getting dry hits, not enough, if tasting like a dirty t shirt, too much. Those are the basics anyways. If its not wicking you are not using enough wicking material.
If your tasting your wicking material you have too much
Just find a balance .... leaning on the side of more is better
