Kayfun Red Window

Hi All,

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. I'm in the middle of a project involving a black chrome plated kayfun and mod, hopefully with a red tank. They exist, svoemesto makes them, just like this:

Problem is, I can't find a US vendor that carries them. SvoeMesto does not seem to ship to the US. Anyone know of a US vendor (or vendor willing to ship to the US) that carries these? If not, any UK friends willing to ship one for a nominal fee?

I'm afraid I may have to go that route... a while ago I had some stained glass paint that looked pretty good, although I could see chipping becoming an issue. Some light sandblasting on the tank + adhesion promoter might do the trick. The interesting part will be the plating on the Kayfun! Here's a crappy photoshop of what I am going for:

It works, but would need to be boiled for a couple hours or until you get it as dark as you'd like.

I experimented with dying polycarbonate a while ago. Used Rit dye. Dunno about the safety of it, but it's something to look in to.

Congrats on getting the red window.

I've also seen a few pictures floating around of black windows. When I looked at svoemesto.de they also have a blue window listed but all are out of stock. I would love to get a hold of blue and black and possibly a red too. It would be nice to combine shipping on all at the same time though since it's not cheap.

Bummer that intaste.de doesn't have the colors you're looking for. They treated me right, it got here in less than a week from Germany!

Edit: I placed the order the evening of the 19th, it showed up on the 24th. I was blown away.
