The copper K25 and Copper 2 post K24 I ordered have already shipped as well. May want to check your spam folder or contact kennedy.

That just sucks. Why? I got mine in yesterday. 2 post 24 SN 0010. The cap is domed differently up top and is a millimeter or two taller than the standard 24 cap height. It also comes stock with a fat dragon tip. Which is awesome. The posts are tapped/solid copper so the leads don't fall down inside the posts and cause problems also.Mine is being held at customs

I've been using my black cap from my 3 post K24 because I don't want to have more brass to clean at the moment.![]()

Double post but: these coils are extremely wide & they fit nicely on this deck. The post width is perfect.![]()

Sorry for potato phone quality pics. But I must say the machining and quality are both 10/10. Kennedy also sent hex keys, however not the crappy ones that always strip the screws, but the black ones you'd find in a kit with different sizes.

Still bummed he went with copper posts and hex screws. If it was all stainless with Phillips/Flatheads id have picked one up instantly. Havent even used my brass OG 24mm in a long while because of that. Dat metallic flavor.
I got my copper kennedys in today and I some parts look like they're dirty/tarnished and they both smell metallic. I've never really worked with a copper atty before but to clean my new attys I usually totally disassemble them and boil them in some water with dawn for 10-15 minutes and let them dry. Can I do the same with the copper or is there something else I need to do to get rid of the metallic smell? Also I have some metal polish that I plan to polish only the outside with to see if I can get rid of some of the dark marks, are there any issues with this aside from keeping the polish out of the build deck?
EDIT: So the dark marks did come off with a bit of polish. I'll have to sit down and clean these like I clean my mechs then clean them additionally afterwards. These are my first copper attys and I'm really shocked by just how beautiful they are out of the package. Really looking forward to how they look after a polish.
I take all the orings off and toss them in the water, never had any issues. Will white wine vinegar work, also how long do you let it soak for?Yes I just soak mine in white vinegar then give them a light buff with a polish soaked rag. No smell and shiny
Don't you damage your o-rings by boiling your RDA?

Awesome thanks for the quick replies.White vinegar is excellent, I typically give 10 minutes for the base and 20/30 mins for the cap. It doesn't take much to clean them.
My brass Kennedy came in perfect, no smell, no machine oil, no dark spots. Just shiny and new. I ran the pieces under the sink though and scrubbed everything down with a toothbrush and dish soap though. I do that before using any new Atty.I take all the orings off and toss them in the water, never had any issues. Will white wine vinegar work, also how long do you let it soak for?

I had a copper mutation x v4 in the past and the metal quality was absolutely terrible. Like I don't even think terrible begins to cover it. Everything patina'd so quickly and the copper couldn't handle the heat making the cotton turn green on the inside. But vinegar is a great cleaner for copper/brass. Later today I'll take pics of the different cap heights with stock DT's and with aftermarket DT's.
But soap and water & vinegar will work well for cleaning copper.
