Here ya go...this gives a visual: Research : British Back Bacon
Good visual - explains it perfectly! :)

British style bacon (or rashers as it is called) is salt cured as to where American bacon is salted and wood smoked. They are also from two different cuts of meat.

Most Americans don't have an idea what a breakfast bap is either. Nothing like a good bap with the eggs, hash browns, sausages, rashers and black and white pudding in the morning after a heavy rattle out on the town the night before.

Speaking of black and white pudding, that reminds me that I have both in the freezer.

Me thinks it's about time for a good fry! :p
Oh yes! A full English breakfast is a joy! Sets you up for the day :) First time I went to London in the mid 60's, I couldn't believe the size of the breakfast served at the hotels!
I can happily exchange the baked beans for black pudding! Scrambled or fried eggs is a dilemma! ...and I love fried bread too!

Aw, White Castle brings back memories of my teen years in Indianapolis. We don't have them in the south. I thought they were one of the four food groups back then.

Here, they go to Waffle House after a night out. That's not right.

We have them every few miles here in TN.

Can I come over? I am out of black and white. I do have some farm fresh eggs and rashers though!

By all means....I'll even grill up the last of my San Francisco Fog tomatoes and put on a pot of Lyons Gold Blend.

Now if we could only find a good loaf of farmhouse brown.

Oh, I can make us up some of that. I believe I have a bit of Kerrygold tucked away to go with it.

What is/are black and white pudding, San Francisco Fog tomatoes,Lyon's gold blend and farmhouse brown?

Traditional Full Irish Breakfast food items. Eggs, rashers, sausage, tomatoes, potatoes, baked beans (that taste more like warmed pork and beans, than American baked beans), black pudding and white pudding. Pictor posted a picture above, missing brown soda bread.

Well, you should taste some cooked black or white pudding before you look to see exactly what it is (it's very tasty), The SF Fog tomatoes are a type of Heirloom suited to the climate in SF, Lyons Gold blend is Coffee (I prefer a good cup of English breakfast tea or some Kenyan or Machu Pichu ground coffee), farmhouse brown is a lovely crusty brown loaf of fresh bread ...and the Kerrygold Penguin mentions is lovely Irish butter ...and I'm so very hungry!

Yep Pictor, you were right! I should have tasted before I googled! I don't think I'd want any black or white pudding! Thanks but no thanks! I knew what Kerrygood was...I've had some of that. Good stuff!

Aw! Shame - if you like seasoned sausage (or even something like haggis) you'd like black pudding! Lovely with sausages and fried eggs and......Oh dear! hungry again - must raid the cheese!

Right on all accounts except for the Lyons. It's actually Irish black tea. I'll take mine "double bagged please." ;) In fact, that's just the way it left the house with me this morning in my artic thermal cup.

Good strong cup of pg tips, bulls blood. Don't forget to add mushrooms to the full English and a pile of bread and butter to mop it all up with, also the eggs should probably be fried but with runny yolks. You'll also need some HP sauce and some Tommy ketchup. Black pudding is gross, I used to have to eat it as a kid, disgusting stuff.
