and I love Sushi. But Bacon Sushi? I'm not too sure 
I'm with you on the eel...blech!!! Also any sea urchin away from the coast. Sea urchin in Denver equals slimy glop of doom. Sea urchin in Vancouver equals buttery goodness on some rice YUM!

Agreed. I always hated it here and our waiter in Vancouver put one piece for my friend and I on our plates and when we said we didn't like it he winked at us and said, "Just try it..." So we tried it and immediately ordered another 10 pieces. SO GOOD!!!!
We have a vendor that is next day air for seafood from anywhere in the world. We don't buy the Urchin from them...

I have a friend that if the mood strikes him, will drive to the coast, pick up whatever floats his boat for that day and then drive back here. Nothing like shrimp and flounder that were just caught that morning for lunch!
All this sushi talk has got me craving Nobu, but the weird thing is that I despise sushi (their non-sushi stuff is unbelievably good). They make this chunk of baked cod basted in teriyaki sauce and served in a lettuce cup that's one of the best things I have ever tasted.
I grew up in southern CA, so no White Castle - but I make it a point to go there anytime I'm visiting someplace that has them! The storebought ones definitely aren't the same. We do have In-n-Out burger though (it originated in the Los Angeles area), and I'd take I-n-O over White Castle any day!
In SoCal, the usual 2 am 'drunk food' is any restaurant that ends in "to's"...Alberto's, Roberto's, Humberto's, etc. - the little hole-in-the-wall Mexican fast food places (and no, Taco Bell/Del Taco are NOT Mexican food!)

I actually like Anago (sea eel) better than Unagi (freshwater eel), but Anago has become harder to find. As far as Uni (sea urchin) goes, YUM! Especially with a raw quail egg yolk on top! Uni is my favorite sushi, with salmon a close second (unless the uni is the slimy glop of doom, as you so perfectly described it, lol!).

Insomnia ugh, last night I was up all night and not on the computer. Marley (65-70 lbs.) decided to wrestle with Buster (11 lbs.) at about 9am yesterday and I was up all night giving pain meds and anti inflammatory's every 8 hours and grabbing a 30 min nap in between when he did sleep. I missed The Walking Dead and my wonderful DVR decided not to record it, good times with animals. Almost drove me to go buy a pack of smokes the vaping just wasn't cutting it, but I knew I would not only be stressed the next day but feel guilty.
But all is good managed to get a hold of the vet at 7 this morning after about 2 hours sleep total, got xrays and some more meds he has arthritis and the bump he got aggravated it. He will be fine just sore for a few days, now I finally get to relax and get back on the forums. Ordered myself a 30ml bottle of Wakonda as a "good doggie Dad" present today. I'm not even going to lie though I can't wait till it gets dark and they pass out so I can do the same and wake up Wednesday.

That does suck! I used to watch TWD avidly but I haven't seen the last few seasons. They lost me with the Governor.
Yeah I was kinda meh one that one, but the new season especially with the massacre. Wow........Rick and the gang are going hardcore this season.
I think I'm going to start it back up. The lady likes to watch it with her family and I don't ever have a single clue what's happening. Lol.
