No it is the original switch with no 5 click. I'm getting a new switch as soon as I get around to it. BTW, you can get 14650s at 1600mAh. I got them from electronicnicstix in Utah.
14650 batts at 1600mAh. I don't think so.

The protected Trustfire Blue 14650 says 1600mAh right on the battery. Don't believe it. These last no longer than the 1050mAh OEM 14650s Smoktech provides with the E-Power kits.

Still, I prefer the Trustfire Blues. I get them cheaper than the OEM batts and the Trustfire build quality is better: stronger shrink wrap that won't cut or wear away, the PCBs are on straight and neat and the battery will fit the E-Power 14650 without rubbing the inside of the battery tube.

Here is where I get my protected Trustfire Blue 14650s.
Genuine TrustFire 2*3.7V 1600mAh 14650 Protected Rechargeable Li-ion Battery (Blue) - EB289L at US$ 8.80

Update: I wound up going with the E-power from Crystal Clear vaping. It looks like a great deal: it also includes a 5-pack of the 1.7 ohm lr "resurrector" cartomizers and 30 ml of juice! We'll see if any problems pop up. I also ordered the combo pack of the same carts: 15 for $21.40, plus a drip tip.
I'll bet you are happy with it, especially if you get the upgraded switch. It seems that these LR/ 5-click safety switches are available with either white or blue LED buttons. I check in here most every weekday and sometimes on weekends. If you have any questions about E-Power 14650 feel free to ask.

Yes, I prefer 2.0 ohm LR XL. Same size and capacity as the 1.7 ohm. They both produce about the same amount of vapor.

The 1.7 ohm LR XL runs hotter than 2.0 ohm. I started with 1.7 ohm and switched to 2.0 ohm as it's a cooler vape. My favorite juice tastes better with it.

You will notice a difference between these two cartos. The 1.7 ohm runs 1.25 watts hotter at 3.7V.

Which you prefer is a matter of individual taste. A lot of LR carto users run 1.7 or 2.0 ohms. I keep a few boxes of 1.7 ohm LR along with my 2.0s.

I found that 1.5 ohm dual coil was just too cool at 3.7V.

All of those e-Power switch issues were rectified months ago. Just make sure you get one with the 5 click safety and it'll be one of the newer switches. Some vendors are still selling old stock. An e-Power kit runs you about the same as two of those passthrough eGos. The difference is that the 14650 batteries are 900mah or more, which is about 50% more capacity than a 650mah eGo. Also, the e-Power is regulated at 3.7V whereas an eGo is 3.3 or 3.4V. That 0.3V makes a significant difference. The eGo is estimated by the manufacturer to last 4-6 months before it craps out and needs to be replaced. 14650 batteries are cheap. There are no cartomizer/atomizer issues with an e-Power. There are plenty of good cartomizers and atomizers that don't rely on that skirt to fit an eGo. In fact the Stardust, which used to be the best thing made for an eGo, has been surpassed by the 510 Fluxomizers, which fit the e-Power just fine.

You can get 2 eGo passthroughs and be tethered to your computer when you don't want to deplete your battery. Or you can get an e-Power and a handful of cheap spare batteries and vape for a week without being anywhere near a computer or a wall outlet.

Sailor, those are the reasons I went with the E-power rather the EGo. I definitely have the new switch. And the price at CCV was amazing! Yeah it was $57, but he also threw in a 5-pack of 1.7 Resurrectors and a 30ml bottle of juice, which I figure makes it cheaper than the $42.09 for the KGo at Hoosier.

BTW, what's with passthroughs? Do they not charge, or is it that you can vape while they are charging?

To answer your question, both.

There are some passthroughs that are just a connection (510, 901 etc) on a cord with no battery

Then there are some that are batteries that can be charged while vaping.

Thanks. So I guess I need to read carefully if I ever look at a passthrough.

Definitely. A USB port is only rated at 500mah and a straight 5V passthrough can pull 2A or more. So you'd need a wall-wart or self powered USB hub that can supply a min. of 2A. Otherwise, you'll blow out your port or maybe even your Mobo.

The passthroughs that have an in-line battery typically operate at 3.7-4.2V. They draw <= 500mah to charge the battery as you vape. You're actually just vaping from a battery and charging it at the same time.
