Congrats tmcase, glad to hear things are working for the moment at least. I agree with you on the stock silica, that stuff is crap. I rebuild my coils with 3mm silica I got in a 10 meter length from cloudsofvapor.com, which they unfortunately no longer sell in those lengths, and that stuff seems pretty good to me. Let me know if things keep going well, or even if they go south, and I can try to think of anything I can suggest that might help. Good luck.

Thanks Yail. It was your technique that I used but I couldn't remember your name. :)

It worked great for a while. And to be honest, some of my trouble was likely related to the heavy caramel tobbaco DIY juice I use daily. But it just started acting similar to my killer; giving sketchy performance for no apparent reason. And after all the trouble I'd experienced w/the killer I didn't have much patience left for the diver. They're both benchwarmers now.

I've been vaping BB through my.... 40th(?) tank with my diver setup with no problems at all. Doubled over 2mm Ekowool wrapped tightly at 1.8ohms. No dry hits, no flooding, no nothing. Everyone once in a while it gurgles a bit but its an RBA, they're supposed to gurgle sometimes (we all remember the good ole days don't we?) The killer - couldn't say the same. It took about 3 tanks, acted up. Another few real well, then acted up. Its looking at my from the table across the room, acting up.

For the first time in over a month I got a dry hit from my Killer today, which concerned me since it was the first time that had happened since I was first learning how to work it and because I was headed to my girlfriends place for the weekend. I did bring an extra cup/coil with me, but it has not happened again since, so fingers crossed!

Well I got my killer tank from Vaperfexion today and it is awesome. The only problem I have is that I only own Provari's and a Vamo so when I open up the juice flow the center pin on the adapter pushes in and is unable to make contact. Besides getting a mod with an adjustable center pin does anyone know what I could do. If not my killer will end up in the classys.

My Killer only breaks connection on my Provari when the juice control is about 3/4 open, so long as the 510 adapter is pushed down. I am using a Prive "Special" tank for example, and if the adapter is flush with the outside of the bottom cap it won't make connection properly - it needs to be pushed down a little bit more then that. Hope that helps, or even makes sense.

I just successfully rigged up a FC-2000 1/8th ceramic wick in a Killer 705, and all I can say is wow. There is one length of silica below the ceramic, and one above it to feed juice to the wick, but the 1.4 ohm coil is hot wrapped around the ceramic itself and the flavor is outstanding. I will write up a description of how this can be done in the near future.

Its fairly straight-forward, at least once you have a working knowledge of setting up the Killer. The ceramic wick should be cut so that it does not extend past the ceramic cup, and the top silica is held in place by wrapping the no-resistance leads around it before inserting them into the holes on the cup. I will explain in greater detail later.

I'm confused... what are we supposed to do at the end of a thread? Go back?

I picked up a couple divers several weeks back while waiting for the killer to be restocked, and just received my killer a few days ago. I like my divers, but can't seem to keep them from gurgling when I stand the mod up for more than a minute.

Kind of limping the killer in an XL fluid flask, but liking it so far. I'll have a better idea how it'll work once the extended bell shows up and it seals properly in the fill cap. Really digging the adjustable pin on my EA now that I understand how the juice control works on this thing!

If that doesn't work out, I may pick up a cartomator vx... are those coming with the airflow channels by default? I don't see it as an option anymore, and I'm hoping to get one w/o them.

Question for those using 3mm silica, are you doubling the wick over and looping it under the cup, or just a single strand pushing that down into the bottom? Got some vaporbase 3mm that I really want to try out on this thing.

Finally got my Killer in and have had a couple days to play around with it. It does take a bit of finagling, but this thing rocks once you get it going. I have it running in a Pro-V Cartomator that looks perfect with my Provari. As long as no issues arise with my new precious (fingers crossed), I think I can lay off purchasing any new hardware for the foreseeable future.

For anyone wondering, the Killer works surprisingly well with VG-heavy liquids. The thickest juice I put through it was 10/90, so I doubt there would be any problem at all with 100% VG liquids like Boba's Bounty.

As much as I'm liking the stock setup, I can't wait to rebuild it.

I got mine today from Greece and is hitting very good so far. Using the coil that come on the atty w/ Or30 e-juice. Not quite a clean of a vape as my Kayfun but good enough to get into the rotation :)
