I agree, there's only been one problem at all heard of that was mentioned by trog on his screwdriver forums where a female buyer was pulling a cartridge off to refill or replace it, and her other hand was holding the battery and not the atomizer while pulling the cart off, resulting in the atomizer being ripped of from its other half. See here:

Haha I knew you'd say something to ruin the mood. Who cares? It's just a message board, no one else seems to mind.
Chill.

Wow.
This site is a lot more than "just a message board".

I'm really tired tonight, I was in the hospital the whole day, my husband had surgery for bladder cancer.

This site is for people to learn about e-cig.
This site is for people to discuss their experiences with with different devices.
This site is for people to share, for new e-sig, for news and reviews and chat.
This site has I do not even know how many different categories.

Management like to keep threads on topic.

So Yes, you ask " who cares"?

I care for more than one reason.

Hi just.....i can verify the same issue as i have recently received a replacement atomiser from Janty and i cant get rid of the primer taste. carts are also like you describe,i didnt have this problem with my other 2 atomisers so i guess we were unlucky, i gonna email harry and see what he say's about it.
I think it's a shame you had to send it back because it normally performs so well and without that prob i'm sure you would of been well chuffed, never mind m8, but you do have every right to send back a product you are not happy with, dont see this as bashing Janty at all..........isn't this the point of this forum to post good and bad experiences, yes i think so........:thumb:

Okay just to update this issue.........today i cleaned my atomiser using a bicycle pump albeit very gently and managed to get the rest of the primer out ( rusty colour) , after this i dripped some liquid onto the atomiser......hey bingo:D seems to have done the trick as i dont have that real bad diesel type taste anymore, after a while i went to put in a cartridge and found that the filler was dry on one side,(assume thats because of the way i stored them!!!) which probably accounted for the filler getting a bit burnt previously so just went ahead and topped up with juice.......seems fine right now, should it revert back i'll let you know....mb an idea to check your carts are not a bit dry folks.
PS The replacement Atomiser i received is a 2 hole version and seems to get through a cart quicker, so be aware of this so you dont run your atomiser to dry.

Well the taste came back after a while so re Harry's instructions i washed this Atomiser , worked fine again for a while but found the nasty taste would come back occasionaly but no where near as harsh as before, however the more i use and top up the less pronounced the taste becomes so it's dissapearing.......mb i just got an atomiser that was overprimed:?: anyway if the prob continues i know it will be sorted by the boys at Janty, no worries.
Just thought would update.

That's usually my experience. Once you get the bad taste cleanings only work for a while before the taste comes back.

Well I got my new atomiser today. I'm impressed with the speed fo delivery but I've still got the crap taste. If I put in a brand new cartridge I get about 10 puffs tasting nice then horrible burning taste, this one is a bit rubbery. I'm really disappointed, I love the amount of vapour and it's a nice looking bit of kit. Just tastes disgusting 80% of the time.

Are you using Janty carts? I had the same problem with mine untill I boiled it clean and switched carts. Seems like the clear plastic piece on the end of the cart is disolving some because of the e-juice. If you smell it I'll bet it smells like what you are tasting.

Yep I'm using Janty carts and the smell is like the taste - I'm not sure what you mean by the clear plastic end piece. I don't seem to have that on mine. I'll try switching though, do normal penstyle ones fit?

There is a little clear plastic cap that goes on the end of the cart before the white plastic piece. Sometimes it stays in the white plastic piece when you pull the cart out. Look inside. If you pull that piece out you will find it is very soft and feels like it has disolved some. I suspect the alkaloids in the nicotine are disolving this piece giving Janty carts a bad taste, not to mention what smoking plastic might do to your lungs.

Normal ones do fit. I have been using e-cig.com carts in mine. They are a loose fit so you have to bite the end of the atomizer hard enough to bend it just a tad. Not even enough to see really. Then loose fitting carts will be tight. Puresmoker carts should fit just fine.

Well it has been a week now that I've used the Janty kissbox and I still have that weird taste too. I've been dripping liquid on the atomizer so it helps a bit (I am still thinking about returning it). What I have found that is puzzling me is that when the KB gets dry is when it gurgles...once I put more liquid in it is when it stops gurgling. This is like the total opposite from any of the other e-cigs I've ever had. Usually the gurgling means your flooding it. Am I the only one who has noticed this?

I'm thinking I'll send mine back as well. Something is definitely not right with this. It seems to be people who've purchased them recently that are having trouble straight out of the box. Maybe it's the new two hole atomiser? Whatever it is I'm definitely not getting the gold star experience the more seasoned KB users bang on about.

The Screwdriver I received yesterday however has none of these issues so I think I'll probably go down that route.

If you have a Screwdriver Scrub it's probably not worth struggling with a Kissbox, get your money back.

My two new atomisers are very similar to my old one so I'm not sure that's the problem. However I do have problems with cartridges, they don't keep atomisers wet enough for me. It could be that I draw too often and the juice doesn't have time to wick onto the coil. I'm happy dripping, once I got the hang of that everything was hunky dory but I know that's not for everyone.
