Hey Slick,
We need a good local man like you on this...I was thinking maybe we could organize a bus trip from this area and possibly get a group of vapors to make a day of it.
I would be willing to donate some money for the bus and other expenses as long as its not before Oct 29th, as I will be in China until then.
I already talked to a couple people that would be willing to go if the dates are OK...Please post anything you find out about dates and times etc. Thanks
Drew

What is the purpose of this study?

Is it the same as this study?

A Clinical Laboratory Model for Evaluating the Acute Effects of Electronic “Cigarettes”: Nicotine Delivery Profile and
Cardiovascular and Subjective Effects

Where you got these results?

Discussion:
The results of this study show the usefulness of the clinical model and suggest that, unlike puffing from
a tobacco cigarette, two 10-puff bouts with the two electronic cigarettes described here expose users to no
measurable nicotine or CO and do not increase heart.

I'm unclear as to the reason your looking for ecig users. This new study would be researching what?

Hey Drew it would be great seeing you again!
Halloween will be exactly 1 year vaping for me so this comes at a great time.
I just do not like the fact that we have to be nicotine free for a number of hours before the test but it will be worth it for the cause.

The op is apparently the doctor conducting the tests, but with only 60 posts he probably only visits ecf a few times a week. VCU is literally minutes away from me. I will find out what's up and maybe we can make a day of it and all get together again.

Although this appears to be a nicotine study, I am sure suppliers such as ourselves can also educate him on many things as well. Such as vg only liquids, zero nic juice, carts vs cartos, vs dripping, high voltage, etc etc.. I am sure test results will be different for different pv's and different strength juices.

I will repost Monday when I find out specifics.

Lol Most of his 60 posts were done while discussing his prior study. It's a long read but well worth it, lots of info exchanged.

Wish I was still living in Hampton Roads, I'd definitely jump on this.

Thread bump!!!!

They just called me and did the phone screen. I spoke with a very nice woman named Barbara and answered a lot of questions about what brand I use, how long I've used it, how many cartos I go through a day, what mg nicotine, etc. She seemed genuinely interested and in a positive way. She said I was a great spokesperson for e-cigs............it's hard to hide your enthusiasm I guess! Also, I was impressed that she referred to the act as 'vaping' instead of smoking. I wonder if she knows what stealth vaping means, lol. It's funny how you pick up the jargon and how the e-cig community has it's own lingo.

If I'm selected I will be paid $200 for a 5 hours clinical study that basically has me vaping all day while they check my blood at different intervals. I have to bring my own e-cig and they will supply my cartridges in my preferred mg and flavor (I will make sure they know that I use cartomizers!). Yes, I'll take one for the team if duty calls.

I think I'll post this on another vape website/forum because she said they have been recruiting people from all over VA. Anything that helps put us on the map I'm all for, and spending time with vapors can't give anything less than a favorable view of us and e-cigs in general. I think our love for these things is genuine and they'll be hard pressed to say what is negative about it. Besides, you can tell from reading all the posts here that we are mostly all charming geniuses!
