A recipe thread does sound great! Be sure to link us and to move the ones from here to there.

CES-it's fine to skip a day if you aren't feeling up to it. Putting added stress on yourself is not a good thing.

Gonna eat my strawberries and whiteness suff-while I read the forum-lol

:) I was able to go without coffee for two days but i can't skip the creamy caffiene kick this morning! it was calling my name all day yesterday lol
I've been able to get a little walking in, nothing I would call a work out. I have also been taking my portion sizes very serious....it's all about moderation!
Our condo complex has a small gym....I should venture in there....tomorrow:D no really.....I think I will hit up the eliptical for a little while. I'm lucky to have it so I need to take advantage of it!

Amanda-I have 2 cups every morning with coffee mate and it doesn't seem to be a problem with me-could be because I eat as little carbs as possible. I am not sure-but I must have coffee with some sort of cream and something as close to sugar as possible every morning or it gets  around here.

I agree CES I MUST have my Creamer and coffee, every morning or ELSE :)

Well I did it the other day with all the up hill climbing. I got up first thing this morning, all excited to start the day off right with DH and go to the gym then...Snap Crackle Pop goes my left knee...... I can only bend my leg ever so slightly before something starts cracking in there.
Bummer......

Oh no-that's horrible:ohmy:. Is it so bad you feel as if a doc appt is needed or do you think you can use a brace and just take it easy for a week? I'll keep my fingers crossed for taking it easy.

Thanks HzG8rGrl
I'm sure it's nothing that a little ibuprofen and elevation won't fix......:)Hopefully...

Oh no! even with ibuprofen and elevation it's a pain. Do you have a knee brace?

Quote for the day

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says "I'm possible".

I love this :)

Okay, well I'm just going to jump in and then go back and read previous posts later.

I love to exercise. I lost 68 lbs in 2008 and I've managed to keep it off since then. Exercise and eating healthier has become a big part of my life now. I love to play racquetball and off and on I do weight training (off now, but will be back on eventually).

I plan on going back and reading the thread from the beginning, but I just wanted to jump in and say hey and good luck to everyone!

Oh, and the reason I want to join the thread is because I have to keep it in my head that I'm doing this, if that makes sense. It's easy to slip back into bad habits. While it is a big part of my lifestyle now, it's still something I have to consciously think about. It's a lot easier than it used to be, but it's still work.

What I do for coffee is I use EZ-sweet (sucralose) to sweeten. I know some people don't like artificial sweetener, but I don't mind it. Then I use mostly skim milk with a little splash of Coffeemate Vanilla. It took me about a week to get used to it, but now if I do it differently it tastes weird to me. Using mostly skim saves a good many calories.

Hi ladies! Ive been doing nothing as far as exercise. But i havnt forgotten this thread or you all. Just distracted with other things. I hear the wii calling my name. Ive watched zumba before and it looks really fun and intense. Beyond what i can do but a friend of mine lost tons of weight zumba.
