No Fudgey-I was not allowed to even attempt having fun in the kitchen during my first marriage. For 10 years I wanted to, but nooooooooo. As soon as I was granted a divorce I went out and purchased a good 20-30 discounted cookbooks and just went wild cooking everything I could afford to buy.
Now when I want to try something new I just google and read like crazy and adjust flavor profiles for what I like, taste wise. I seldom measure anything-another reason I can't really give out a true recipe. I put a dash of that and a touch of this and a little more of whatever, tasting and smelling as I go. Thank goodness my honey is a human vacuum cleaner!

And Fudgey-quit blaming the cold-walk around the house!

Well then you are a very good self taught cook then!!!

Yes ma'am :p I rode my exercise bike yesterday.......today I didn't do nothing. I will ride again tomorrow!!

I have tried walking in the house....drives DH nuts.....we have hard wood floors......

I actually got a very little walk in today-27deg-no wind can make all the difference in the world. Exerciser a bit yesterday. Nothing to write home about ever!! lol

Good going Classy....We need to move to FL Fudgey. Oh, but then wait, we would have to find a new excuse.

Hz I started to say you cook just like I do; then I thought no, that's not right in any way shape or form other than the not measuring! I seldom have ever followed a recipe either. That is probably why I want to come and live with you-your meals sound so good.

But it would be so much warmer!!

Well....there is no walking outside here right now.....it's snowing!!! And I bet it's headed your way.

I've been a slug too....sigh. Tomorrow is another morning :)

Hz8 it's really impressive when people are able to understand what they like well enough to do add a bit of this and a bit of that and make it come out well. I'm sure it took practice...but you did the work/play to get there.

Good for you on the bike ride yesterday Fudgey, and for getting your walking in today Toto and Classy.

"k, so...i can't believe how difficult it was to force myself to do a mini workout this morning. Even having to 'fess up in this thread almost didn't do it. I know there's a point at which it'll become a part of my daily routine and it'll make me crazy to miss it. But I'm not quite there, yet.

The longer you go between any type of workout the harder it is to do it the next time. Step up to the wall and put your palms flat on the wall. Take one step back and spread feet shoulder width apart. Now do 5 pushups off the wall. Go to the pantry and get 2 cans from the shelf and do 5 curls with them, now lift them over your head 5 times. Go to any step in the house and go up and down that step 10 up and downs. Mini work out done without ever leaving the house! You can even spread them all out over the course of the day, slowly shortening the time between each one until you are doing 15-20 minutes all at once!

It's not that I want to do the exercise, but that if I don't I could gain back the weight I have removed. Lord knows I do not want to go back to 139 lbs.

WTG Class and CES! Come on Fudgey join in for 5 minutes, grab them cans. Toto, my kids won't eat my food. They want loads of carbs-LOL. I have figured out to just have DH grill steaks and I'll do a salad. They always leave with some sad excuse and go to the store for the sugary goods. If you are ever in N Florida-hit me up. We'll dirty up the kitchen while having a blast.

It's a little brisk out this morning and rather than offer up yet another excuse, I did Hz8's mini workout and then got out my rebounder. Even a mini workout on it gets my heart thumping. I'm going to leave it up in my book room so I can just do 5 or so minutes whenever I go into the room throughout the day. Let's see if this works!
