I can eat more m&m's if I keep this up, right? And, they're peanut ones so they have lots of protein :)

Oh, I needed the giggle this gave me Emma Jo.
It sounds like you are off to a good start.

Good job with the peanut M&M's Fudgey. I always do better if I don't totally deny myself.

I talked with my daughter a bit ago and Dallen is doing well. Going to be a long 3-4 months I'm afraid though. She wasn't doing so well after I told her about her Dad. Darn it's hard being 1500 miles apart.

Thank you all for the love, prayers and support!!

Sorry to hear about your DH toto!!! I hope he will be ok!! *HUG*

I received girl scout cookies today from my son's teacher that I ordered about 2 months ago. Why couldn't they come BEFORE my diet??? Anyways, I had a few but I didn't overdo it. I am doing 2000 calories or less right now, if I'm doing that okay in a week I will lower by 100 calories, than another week, lower again by 100 calories, etc. Today I have consumed 1650 calories. I may have a light snack before bed of some celery with a tiny bit of peanut butter or ranch dressing, but that won't be much more calories, so I did good today, despite having a few girl scout cookies. :) Didn't get to do my workout but did do house cleaning again today (got a notice on my door that they are inspecting everyone's apartments tommorow ugh). The apartment isn't that bad but of course I want it to be as nice as possible for this, or anytime someone comes to visit.

Found some good lowfat easy recipes on this site: http://lowfatcooking.about.com/od/mealplanning/u/easyrecipes.htm
I also have a free one week trial for Curves to try out....anyone go to Curves? I would love to hear your experiences....

I am also wondering too if I should take a diet pill as well.

I didn't make it through all 65 pages of this thread, but I have a Wii and wanted to share that EA Active 2 is AWESOME. It comes with 2 wrist or ankle weights (1 pound each) which I wear on my wrists for boxing, a strap for the thigh to catch movement, and a strap for the arm to catch movement and record heart rate. It can be an intense workout even on easy, but it's doable. I did the 9-week challenge and my boyfriend pouted because my ".... isn't flabby anymore," which I liked! The exercises are what trainers recommend such as squats, lunges, curls, jump rope, running, boxing, etc. Well worth what I paid.

EmmaJo, be sure to drink plenty of water. I had to work myself up to my full 30 minutes due to the shin and calve aches. They fussed at me something hard-LOL. Calves are still fussing-I need more water, too. (hear that self, drink water).

Welcome to the thread Ambeck. Keep us up to date on your wii program so we can get a feel for how it all works out. I have tried the DVD sets and always had a hard time trying to keep the same pace and would just get agitated. Felt like being back in school and falling behind in certain subjects. I get too hard on myself and find it is just better if I leave those to others.

All is still going well for me, just busy and now that spring is around the corner I am feeling a bit antsy for the deep cleanings that I usually do around the house. I have no clue how to work it in while being so busy. I did get a little pressure washer and played with it on the driveway. I like this little guy, sure does have a powerful kick for cleaning the crud.

Keep your heads held high, your thoughts pure and remember how blessed we have all been to even have been given a moment to be able to share this life with others. Stay safe and strong.

You're off to a great start EmmaJo! keep it up. starting slowly is key to keeping it going. it'll get easier.

LR, please don't go below 1500 calories, or take a diet pill- slowly and naturally is what will lead to something you can sustain.

(I haven't even SEEN any GS cookies this year- sigh...but it turns out that oreo has a peanut butter fudge covered cookie that's a reasonable sub for my favorite GS cookies. even better, I'm eating them slowly- the package is lasting! YAY!)

Nice going on the Wii workouts Ambeck!! welcome to the fit thread :)

Toto- sending hugs, hope and healing for you and your familiy. stay with exercising it'll help with the stress (((hugs)))

great going g8r!!! (pressure washers are fun- i need to get mine out for my deck soon)

Thank you, everybody, for all the welcomes :). I have had the EA Active 2 since it came out, so maybe a year or so, so we're pretty familiar with each other :). Much better than the EA Active (the first one). I also have Zumba 2, Wii Fit Plus, Just Dance 2 and 3, and The Michael Jackson Experience. I gave up on DVDs around the time I felt the strong urge to strangle Denise Austin during one exercise session.

I wish I had a wii.......I would totally do fitness and dance stuff with it.....ah well......

1640 calories today.

I wonder how this weekend is gonna go though. My bf always suggests these high fat recipes. He wants to do some taco salad casserole or something either this weekend or next weekend lol. I think I will just have to watch my serving of it and eat some salad or veggies on the side to fill up. My bf eats more than me but he is really skinny. I WISH I had that metabolism lol. My son also has that metabolism. Tho I am sure the adderall he takes for his adhd is a factor too.

Dinner will be late tonight-I hate late dinners.
Have roasting in the oven a couple large tomatoes, a jalapeno, a red chili, ½ an onion, 2 garlic cloves and ½ of an orange bell pepper all smothered in olive oil and italian seasonings. Once everything is bursting at the seams, I'll blend together for a sauce.

In a fry pan I am planning on cooking up some italian chicken sausage and throw in some brussels cut very thinly and mushrooms to take on the taste of the sausage. And then I'll throw in thinly sliced eggplant until it gets some color and softens.
In mini loaf pans I will place eggplant and the sausage with brussels and mushrooms, top with the sauce and top that with smoked gouda, gruyere cheese and a little ricotta and layer that up. I plan on baking it for 30 minutes at 350 covered for 20 and uncovered for the last 10. Wish me luck!

We will probably eat around 7. Bad timing for such a long prep-off to start the sausage part!

Dinner turned out very good…May add xanthum gum to tighten sauce up a bit. Had too much for the mini pans-Casserole style it is-LOL

I'm going over to HzG8's house for dinner tonight, who else is with me? Lol!

Classwife, don't worry about the candy. You have too much going on to worry about that. Eat it and enjoy it. Diet food is there when you are ready. I'm sorry to hear about all that is happening, I wish you the very best (and hubby) and hope all is well very quickly.

I haven't been doing to well with my plans, so I just read along most of the time. Nothing to post 'cause I'm lazy. I start and stop, not consistent and no real reason.

I too do not understand pretzel m&ms. Yuck!!!

You should post more often-it will help to get you ready to take the needed steps to start your journey! I have more than plenty-come on over!

Yay Fudgey! How awesome is it to make such a small change and get back so much. Find the next change and incorporate it slowly-don't even tell him, just do it. That is how I got the DH off of salt many years back. I took the salt shaker and put half salt and half no-salt. Over time I just increased the no-salt and before I knew it (he had no clue) he was off of salt. Should have seen his face when I confronted him!

Keep up the great work LR.

Love ya Classy-keep your chin up and put away the chocolate-lol.
