YouTube - Leaford's Video Blog 8-5: Runner Ups and Honorable Mentions
Runner-ups and Honorable Mentions:
#6) Puresmoker USB Passthrough: The companion piece to the Prodigy, this heavy-duty USB passthrough shares the Prodigy’s feature of removable atomizer adaptors, allowing it to accommodate several popular atomizer types. The heavy-duty cord is both a strength and a weakness. Durability good, I get that. But this cord is so heavy and stiff it’s hard to manage. The weight keeps pulling the e-cig off the desk when it’s idle, among other annoyances.
#7) The E8: This is the super-duper-mini size version of the E9. A millimeter narrower in diameter and a few millimeters shorter, it’s the only e-cig in its size range I really like. And I do like using something soo tiny and petite, but still producing such a major vapor cloud. But the battery life is just too short for regular use, and the vapor levels and cartomizer duration are shorter than its big cousin, so I’d really recommend the E9 instead.
Honorable Mentions:
The DSE-901: Best choice for the absolute beginner, good performance, reliable, durable, a great way to start and learn the basics before moving on to something that will suit you even better.
The DSE-801 (penstyle): the classic penstyle e-cig has fallen out of regular use for me, due to the excellent battery body models I’ve been using. But for most users a penstyle is a good step up from the 901 or other minis. More vapor, longer lasting cartridges and batteries.
Screwdriver: The Prodigy would never have been without The Screwdriver, so I couldn’t mention the one without giving credit where it is due. Trog had the gumption to take an idea being batted around the forums of something with a large e-pipe type battery but a replaceable atomizer, and make it a reality. With a manual switch to boot. The 901 atomizer was, to my mind, the only real drawback to the design, and although I could never get comfortable with the button placement, it still has smoother lines and a sleeker look than any of its imitators.
