I don't have it that precise, measurement wise. A dissolve salt into the ammonia until it won't absorb anymore.

I can't post pictures here on mobile but I love the look of patina so much I was planning on buying a blackhawk for so long but the instant I saw patina I had to buy a brass nemesis. I just don't have the patience to do it though I left mine in for 20 hours and it got a little blue but I didn't laquer and it faded and I just sanded it all off. keep posting pictures, give me some inspiration hahaha

After you get your desired patina, do you folks clear coat it with something?

Yes, auto gloss enamel

what's the difference in color between when it's dry and when it's enameled? it seems to be pretty blue when I first took it out, will it keep that color or will the enamels dull the finish?

not dull, but it will get a little darker, just like it looked during the water rinse
