I'm not too proud to brag...I made a half decent mod today all be my little old self!

Sorry for the poor picture quality. It's not 100% done yet. I might post better pics, but it's just a $5 flashlight mod with less than $10 in parts. Meh. Comments would definitely be appreciated though.

Specs from my FacePlant page...

"$5 aluminum 3xAAA flashlight. Battery, lights, springs, and switch removed. 18500 IMR battery, C&K 3 Amp switch, polished copper plate strip contacts from bottom to top, purple LED behind switch made from carto condom, 510 connection with drip well. Drunker tank on top. Works perfectly." Edit: To the left is an 1000mah Ego passthrough with a Kanger T2 on top.

BTW, Drunker tank is full of Oompa, Kanger T2 is full of Legend/Oompa. 100% VG for me.

Now I can vape for as long as my lungs want and make a proper vape face!
That's awesome Schnarph!

A Reo and bottom-fed RDA are going to be my next major purchases. I would think that setup (or a Billet Box - have you looked at those at all, btw? Just curious what your thoughts are on them) would be the perfect mix of a quality vape, low likelihood of leaking and durability to just throw in my jacket pocket when I'm out on the motorcycle all day.

Early in my vaping career I asked about rough service cartos, and a Forum Moderator named ClassWife directed me to REOSMods. Haven't looked back. Durability is a REOS. The RM2.0 is an RBA made for bottom-feed mods, but last I heard they were close to selling out. Don't know about Billet Box- never owned one. The REOS mini 2.1 is a pocket-sized mechanical mod built for RBAs and carries 3ml of juice and an 18490 battery, larger battery size for all day use. I ordered my 2.1 a color called Copper Vien, same color as an old penny. this is what it looks like with the RM2.0

I came very close to buying a black/black Grand/Hornet in the classies right before I picked up my ProVari Mini. Only reason I passed on it is because I'm pretty dead-set on a Silver Vein Reo Mini 2.1. The size of the 18490 Reos just looks perfect to me. I've looked into the Reomizer 2.0 a bit and it looks as though it's night-and-day different (and better!) than the original, making the search for a BF Hornet/ERA or spending the money on a Chalice almost pointless.

Unfortunately, the Reo is on the back burner at the moment as I'm currently motorcycle shopping (out of necessity - story for another place and another time), so there's only room in the vape budget for essentials like juice and cartos right now. :glare:

What kind of bike are you looking for, Dave? I'm not selling mine; just curious.

I'm keeping my options open. Something closer to a middleweight, 17s front and rear, preferably fuel injected. I'm coming off of a BMW F800ST, if that gives you an idea. I was very excited to go look at a low mileage 2006 SV650S with GSX-R forks, but someone else beat me to it. I wouldn't mind another SV1000S (mine was stolen a few years ago). If I can find a Triumph Street Triple or Street Triple R for the right price, I'd jump on that for sure.

What do you ride again? I know there are several other riders in the Army, but I've lost track of who rides what.

Anyone have a suggestion on a good dripping atty to use with my ego twists (and where I might find one that is not sold out)? Thanks so much.

I don't have widely varied experience with dripping atties, but I have been very happy with my Cisco Spec 510s and 306s. They're available at Avid Vaper in a wide variety of resistances and styles. The Cisco Specs are from the same Cisco who makes the HH.357, but are (I believe) machine built to his specs instead of hand built. I've never tried an HH.357 because these cheaper atties work well enough that I just can't justify the 2.5x higher price for a single atty.

I've also heard great things about Ikenvape atties. I have one now that I ordered to try with my last carto order from them, but haven't gotten around to using it yet since I got it around the same time my Killer 705 showed up. I do have plenty of experience with their cartos though, and think they are some of the best on the market. Unfortunately, IKV's atties are often sold out at the two places I know sell them (Clouds of Vapor and IKV's store), but they do appear to have some available now if you aren't picky about resistance.

I second the motion for HH.357 atty. I have two and they are great for dripping and also for testing out new juices (which is mainly what I use them for.) Stellar taste and vapor production, but maybe a bit pricey, however they do last a long time.

Haven't tried Cisco Specs, but also hear good things about them @ half the price of HH.357 ;) Hope that helps.

I would recommend the stingray atomizers. They are built like the Cisco spec and have a sealed bottom connection for reduced leaking. Delaware vapor has them for about $9 a piece. I also like the empire mods attys.

I personally don't have good reviews any more for the .357. Mine did not last that long and I could tell no difference in flavor or vapor production between them and my $5 empire atty.

Dave, I'm riding a Goldwing right now, but I've had all kinds of bikes. BMW F650GS, BMW R1150GS, Triumph Sprint, Buell S3 Thunderbolt, Sportster, etc. I even had a Suzuki Burgman scooter for a while, which was much more fun than some bikes I've owned.

Are you up for a road trip?

2006 Suzuki SV650S - Austin, TX - TWT Forums

2006 Triumph Speed Triple FS - TWT Forums

I have no affiliation with those bikes or their sellers. Just FYI.

I bought a vivi nova today from the only b&m near me. It started leaking from the first draw out of the bottom air holes. Did I just get a defective one or did I do something wrong? I haven't seen many bad reviews on these tanks.

There are numerous Vivi Nova knock offs. The Chinese have no regard for patents or copyrights. All kinds of wannabes just copy from a successful product and often they cheapen it so they can sell on price while piggybacking off the Vivi Nova reputation. There's a real good chance you got a knock off. There are a number of vendors who sell genuine Vivi Nova. GotVapes and Carolina Vapes being two of them.

And a fine looking family it is. Like the VAMO with the smaller batt it in. How long does it last compared to the 18650?

Thank you B. I never carry just the Vamo so hell if I know. But about half of a 18650... :) I usually just use it with a 18650 at work, but I don't like the size with it, it's HUGE... :)

It is enormous. That is the one drawback to the VAMO. It doesn't stow very well when you're on the move. It's a desk/table PV to be sure.
