Yep.. guessing the efficiency is higher as well. The coil is actually cooler than a higher gauge at the same resistance, so it works well with something like cotton.
Dust, I think you said you use a 2mm shank. I used a 1.95mm shank. With 10 wraps using 30ga I got 1.8 ohms. I'm still suspicious of your wire.
The only conclusion I can come to is that you are wrapping 32g... 10 wraps of that would be in the 3 range. And that coil looks small.
Apply Occam's Razor here... the simplest answer is that your gauge is messed up.

This was $35.. So not bad at all. I've been having a heck of a time with the K-lite today. Slapped on a 5/6 wrap of "30" which gave me a 1.8 ohm on 2mm ekowool, and loaded it with Southern Gentleman. I've had to do the straw effect all day to get the juice to feed. No air bubble when I take a hit.. Freaking drama!!

That's the same thickness of the 32 gauge that I have. This one was supposed to be .254mm thick.
As a result of this boo-boo, I now have almost 300' of 32 gauge wire and 0' of 30 gauge.

Yep Dust...your 30 gauge is 32 gauge. You got ripped. That explains your resistance flaws just as we all suspected. My 30 ga measures .265.

Contact the peeps that sent it and get them to fix their screw up. I just got 100' of 28g for 8.50 free shipping. Off eBay. Was from lightning vapes I believe.

Yeah and that's kind of a bummer cause if you got to ship it back it'll cost ya. Maybe he will just send you a replacement roll and save you the shipping. I am wondering if I should check my wire I just got from them.
