Question about the Provari:
Does the low battery light come on at different levels depending on the battery? Sometimes it'll come on at 3.3v and right now the AW IMR is blinking at 3.6v. I'll have to check which batteries were going down to 3.3v.

While your ProVaries are misfiring (or not at all) I'll be grabbing my Woodie for Christmas![]()
Our Provaris are not misfiring pop. They never misfire (at least not mine). The battery level indicator feature gets a little wonky now and again. That's all.
I wouldn't know, for the obvious reasons. Just couldn't resist a little REOS humor there.....![]()
Like that's a looong time to wait.. that's only 43 days away!

Ask Chak to send you an inventory of what he's bought in the LAST 43 days, and you'll understand why he has to have that mantra of his..![]()
Pretty hard to get your mind off a woodie I guess.![]()

It's not his mind on the woodie I'm wondering about...![]()

Mine is all over the map Chak. And I use AW IMR's exclusively. It's not the most accurate indicator.
I've had mine start blinking an refuse to fire with a battery with 4.12v

Nope, nope.... the Brass Finish RM2 that's waiting patiently.
That's reassuring, somewhat.
...and this is not. How did you reset it, put in a new bat?

My ProVari tends to start to prematurely read a low battery when it needs a good cleaning. Have you done your maintenance on it lately? The gunk that accumulates on the positive and negative terminals will make it read a battery that has 3.7 volts as 3.5, 3.4, or whatever amount less the gunk obstructs a proper reading. If it sees this condition even momentarily, it starts to blink. I know when I see this, it is time for me and the ProVari to spend some quality time with my 99% Isopropyl. I have a blog on this process, if you are interested.
If you unscrew it enough for the battery to lose contact, and then re-attach, the condition goes away temporarily.
That's exactly what mine does and I've never given the contacts a good cleaning. Gonna do that today, thanks Lion!
