Of course I'd have to buy the Dremel kit. Dang it's always something.:p Not counting the Dremel I could keep it under $100 I think.

Join Freecycle if they have it in your area... someone nearby might have one that they want to unload for free... you would be surprised at the stuff people will give away.

Make sure your coil is compact and directly above the air hole. Lift the coil away from the deck after you secure the screws to avoid contact shorts. I would double (fold) the wick before you wrap. After you place the combustion chamber over the wick and coil, cut them about 1/4 inch above the chamber wall. Wet them with a little juice before you stuff them back down the chamber. They behave better when wet. Be careful not to jam the wicks in front of the intake channels as that can prevent the flow from entering the chamber.

What would doubling up the wick do for me, other than just fill the combustion chamber with wick when I fold it in? Also, would this not then result in a much bigger coil (higher ohms)?

I'll definitely be wetting the wick before stuffing it into the chamber next time, as they did unravel while I was folding them into it.

Lastly, do you have the coil sitting parallel to the two screws, or do you place it at a 90* angle to the screws? The one I have in now is placed parallel to the screws and seems to be working fine. Just checking if I should be doing it any other way.

Maryland
Wizard Labs had some lower strength nic the other night...and I watched it quickly go away within minutes with the FDA online ban scare the other day. I'm about to give DIYing a go...and I'm scared and excited all at the same time. I want tobaccos and I have to use 100% VG which I think makes it all much more difficult to get right. I've researched so much lately that my eyes are bugging out, my son feels abandoned, and my chores are suffering. If I'm not good at it, at least I have some stuff stored away for the e-pocalypse. :D

Yea wizard labs has been out every time I've looked. The fda will certainly ban online sales because the big tobacco companies want that and they are the ones with the money. I actually quit smoking for 4 months before by using general onyx snus. It was like 20 mg nicotine and was the only thing that satisfied craving. Then the great state of Maryland banned online sales for residents of the state and no retail stores carried it so I went back to smoking. I'm just wondering what this ban will mean for online sales of the nicotine extract as well.

So I'm guessing you've found every place there is to get tobacco extract from?

I went with Vaping Zone Super Concentrates. Highly regarded and alcohol based so no PG. I found a thread last night (and read every post...) about these concentrates. They are super easy and require very little drops and are good standalone without complex mixing of multiple flavors.

Kayfun Lite with Dragons Fire is ROCKING my world right now. Unbelievable how much the vape quality improves with this device, even though I can't understand why, considering that I'm using the same wick/coil combo as the ProTanks.

Because it's a far superior design Dusty, no contest! :)

I get that, but what part of the design is causing the added benefit? Is it the small combustion chamber, the chimney that causes the flavour to concentrate, or the sum of the parts? :)

Building like MP is fine and the position of the coil is as it should be with relation to the screws. I would try to compact the wraps a bit more to get everything right over the air hole. You'll get better flavor/vapor that way. The reason I fold the wick is to achieve two strands on each end of the coil rather than only one. I have the strands "straddle" the deck on each side. There's a lot of ways to build. As long as you aren't getting flooding or dry hits, you're golden.

Dust, DF goes from incredible in a standard clearo to incredible squared in a simple RBA. I don't know what it is about DF, but it improves more than any other flavor I have. And it is rapturous at its worst. DF is one special e-liquid...that's for sure.

I just watched a Kayfun Lite vid. The Kayfun is moving from a desire to a need. It's nearly mandatory. I vape DF half the day and I enjoy the Phoenix RBA the most. But the capacity is small so I want something that is 2.5mls or more that I dedicate to DF. That's why I bought the AGA. Only problem with the AGA is it is more mech-friendly than it is Provari-friendly. The Kayfun Lite looks like it would be perfect for the Provari. Don't know how Dust got his to look flush but that's not a big thing for me. But the functionality is and this Kayfun Lite is very intriguing. The user returns sure make it enamoring. Where is a good source to buy the Kayfun Lite? I'm thinking of pulling a bank heist soon so I may be in the market for one.

Here's where you get it from: Kayfun Verdampfer von SvoeMesto - E-Zigarette Verdampfer von InTaste

The flush look on the Provari can be achieved by using a Sotong Provari Ring. Provari Ring I picked up a few (brushed and polished) in a mini-coop that I organized.

It's definitely worth looking into and buying one or more. I'm not in a hurry to get another because I got in on one of Bucky's coops via Chimps for the Russian 91% (which is the clone of the K-Lite).

I have a feeling my RSST's and AGA are going to be taking an extended, if not permanent break. I still love the drippers on the Pipe's though.
