I have to say, Lou Ritter, made a super close in this meeting, and woke up some on that board, as well as made a super speech from the heart as well as gave the FDA some very informative information in his speech, just a super job this man did for the e-cig community in a whole.

Well, after seeing AEMSA represented, it's become apparent that these types of non-profits- along with more studies and hard evidence- are by far the most important allies we have as vapers. When it comes to governing bodies like the FDA, the facts and the numbers are everything...and they showed their interest during his presentation.

Linc will be giving the video to CASAA and we will post it on our site. You can see a pretty good blog of the comments here: Live Updates Of The FDA's Public Hearing | Ecig Advanced News and the FDA will eventually be posting a copy of the video on it's site, but we aren't sure how long that will take.

I found this webcast very interesting. I honestly hope that any additional form of governmental regulation or interference with vaping and e-liquids is a long time in coming. The ingredients most used in e-liquids are already regulated (and meet FDA standards) for food grade use.
The last thing I want is for governmental incompetence, red tape, and bureaucracy to mess up the only thing that has ever helped me to quit smoking analogs...not to mention how much it would make the prices go up if the government could regulate and tax e-liquids like they tax tobacco products.

Interestingly, after watching the video, I now think the only thing the FDA believes in is lengthy and costly studies that usually seem, to me and imho, biased to whomever is giving or paying for the studies. I especially liked the comparison to the first 6 years of vaping vs the first 6 years of smoking...like they were saying that people who vaped, have not vaped long enough or there was a possibility that vaping is somehow as bad as smoking or the lack of statistical information there is insurmountable.

It's like if their isn't a study then they are unable to think or draw intellectual conclusions.
