Just a small update on UNO. I had vaped the second tank down to pretty low & noticed that hits were getting a bit warm & dry so I filled it again. Never even Noticed the the Yellow LED at all but was about 6 hits in that tank when I saw the Red led. She was still hitting nice and strong on the hit before it finally blinked Red & would no longer fire about 15-20 hits in. Not bad considering I did not charge it out of the box. Guess they ship prototypes with a full charge. I'm used to internals coming w/ a 60% holding charge only.
UNO has a 10 second cutoff, over-current/overheat protection, overcharge protection but no voltage or wattage adjustment. There is absolutely no way it is an unregulated device though. It must have bucking/boost or at least boost circuitry installed to either provide a constant output wattage or voltage to the atty as the vape was consistent from first vape to last except for those few hotter/dryer ones I spoke of as the 2nd tank got low. I even Skyped Bruce @ 2am to ask him what the preset wattage/voltage scheme was.
He told me again it was unregulated & vape would drop off as battery died. He obviously doesn't know how this unit works & while he may use it over lunch break, I don't think its his ADV. He did tell me that resistance range of UNO is 0.4 - 1.5 ohm. My best guess is it is just a regulated voltage but Got to figure out a way to test output voltage on a TA AIO coil while it is in use to try it under different resistances to see if it is wattage based but at a loss how to perform test without disassembly.
After it is off charge I'll have a better idea if it is bucking voltage on those first few vapes or not but am purposely leaving it on charge for a number of hours to test this.
