Now, I have ordered a Phantus Mini clone, because I could not find a microstick clone that supported a 23mm atty. We shall see what I receive.

Hopefully the aluminum Phantus. The brass weighs a ton, which defeats the purpose of the small size IMO.

HA...I read this thread multiple times also. I ordered the Kato and Fountain v2 today....
I love the idea of squonking, but never owned any type of bottom feed attys or devices.

Picked up the Kato, but if I fall in love with the Fountain I may have to try the Envy22 too.
Thanks for all the pictures everybody.
:toast:
The Fountain and the eNVy 22 are not a good match. I tried, I really really did...

No, the weight of the brass Phantus doesn't deter me. Not much different than the Kato Square mod(although 18350 vs 18650). Sometimes size DOES matter....OMG, don't tell my wife that I said that....

Good. Just speaking for myself then. I thought it was too heavy for a shirt pocket, with too little battery for a stay-at-home. So I cut it in half in preparation for installing a wood spacer to convert it to 18650. The project stalled because I wanted a more interesting wood than the walnut I had. Now I've finally got the wood and should finish it up.

I'm a sucker for a nice hunk of machined metal, which Phantus certainly is. Maybe even more so mixed with a nice hunk of wood.

I remember those pipes. Those were cool. I never got around to picking one up. I liked the design of the phantus but the weight kept me away. It'll be interesting to hear what you think. The idea of having the option of using an atty on top was interesting but I wasn't sure I'd really use it that way. The Kato seemed too heavy IMO.

The fountain. hmmm... I'm going to have to look that up. Anyway, it sounds as if we've got some new reviews coming.

Dunno which device you're wanting a review of, but there's a written review of the Fountain here:

The Kato & the Fountain are a match made in heaven IMO. While I found the Fountain didn't play nice in my Clownstick unfortunately due to resistance moving all over the place caused by the design of the Fountain but the fountain was fine as a box topper on my SMY60, go figure....

Ok, caught my mailman coming in as I was leaving for work.

First impression of the Phantus:
1) About the same weight as the Kato Hammer with the 18650 tube attached with battery.

B) Strong brass smell. Really strong. I will have to do something about that.

4) I was slightly worried, based on reviews I've read, that the atty hole might not allow airflow for my KFL+ clones. Turns out to not be an issue at all, but the atty is slightly off center, but eminently usable.

D) Not noticing any voltage drop compared to the Hammer.

All in all, I am very happy for $20 shipped from Angelcigs US warehouse.
