My bad... power up duh...not down. I erased the bad info on flipping screen
Thanks...
Thanks...
When I weighed it with the provided tank (full) and an 18650, I got about 12 ounces. My Kanger KBox 120 with Monster V3, and 2 18650 batteries weighs 9 ounces.Re edited the " negatives " again...
Going to stick with a tad heavy 9 oz with battery no atty and screen stays lit when connected to usb
@mgmrick did you get the Charon tank, too?

This is a solid feeling mod.
I didn't put the Charon on the Knight. Instead, I built the RBA and put it up on my iStick 100. They took the best of the Crius and the best of the SMOK TFV4, and mashed 'em together. At present, the only thing I'm not liking is the color of the o-rings... How nit-picky is that?Yes I did... but I have not played with it yet. Wanted to test for a full day using the same atty I have been using for a while to see how it preformed on the knight
I think this looks better. I might be concerned that e-liquid or drool might make its way through the vent holes. Either way we have a choice.
Mine showed up 1 day early...
Tiny, yet sturdy feeling (320+ grams with a full tank and 18650). This Smoant Knight V1 60 W TC mod (Ni200, Ti, SS) with the Kanger Subtank compatible, top-filling Talos V1 tank showed up for review today. So far - about 1/2 an hour - I'm really liking it.

I've got to say that I thought the placement was odd when I saw the xvo stick, and it is one of the most comfortable mods that I own.
So does quite a bit of the mod stick up out of your hand, or u fire with pinky/ring finger? Or neither?
That's why I'd have to get used to the button placement. I'm a thumb firer. The button placement does look awkward for that.

I don't mind playing guinea. I'm just not excited to pay for the privilege.
The initial idea behind TC was to protect us from overheating our vliquid to avoid nasty byproducts. It is believed that PG/VG start producing the nasties around 700F +/-. We're still waiting on Dr. Farsalinos' latest results, however. You can overheat practically any atty. We may discover that many of us enjoy vaping at temperatures that exceed 700F at the coil. Some may be fine taking the higher risk; others may not. It's still certainly much
less harmful than sucking on the cancer sticks. My current stand is based on anecdotal observations, discussions and my own experience. That's why I'm looking forward to more science.
Hohmtech is stealing a cue from the IT world. Network techs and engineers send a tiny packet of info to a destination, usually a server. They measure how long it takes to arrive and return to its origination. We call this "pinging". It tells us geeks lots of things about the speed, strength, timing and integrity of the network signal.
Hohmtech is using the knowledge that the said "ping" timing changes with the temperature of the circuit, in this case our coils. A ping is sent through our coil and the speed is measured. With algorithms and some fast, basic learning, the mod uses this info to control the temperature. It can theoretically be used with practically any known metal. I believe it has greater potential for TC than using measured resistance. We'll see how it plays out.
Does this help?
I'm a thumb fire guy too. That's why I'd have to get used to the button placement. I'm a thumb firer. The button placement does look awkward for that.
Yes, uh huh, si, da, jah, haiDrool, dahlink? Oh my.
Geeze, Shawn, that DOES look quite nice! KatApproved so far.
Hoot, like most here, when I first saw the XVO, I was a "no". I saw the button placement and that became my first and sole question about it.
Now that I own and use them regularly, it's become a no-brainer. Right hand, left hand, trigger fire, thumb fire, or even PALM fire. Any way you pick it up, it just works, and works so well!
It's an oddity for sure, but the buttons are of ZERO concern. I 'promise' you that!
You'll be fine. Honest sweetie.
So when I change the screen position, do I need to make a face?
Solid, eh? Euphemism for heavy?![]()
Based on the glowing reviews, I'm confident that someone will soon be able to provide that comparison for you, Rick. Maybe even TWO.My only regret ... I came close to buying a used Fulgoris dna40 but the seller backed out so still no evolve dna40 here to compare chips with china chips
The knight v1 chip is much better than the xvo clone chip... more power it just creates a fuller vape. And I did like my xvo clones alot till this mod arrived.
So how it compares to an evolve dna40... I can't comment....
As soon as I receive email from 101vape I will order a black knight v1...maybe 2
