Received my white Knight today. It is a bit heavier than I expected. It is running a .53ohm, 26ga, Dual Ti coil, 6ml Aromamizer quite respectably with only a bit of a delay. Handles the load quite a bit better than I thought it would. Nice compact clean unit that looks great with the mizer sitting inside. Pleased.

Does anyone know if the Knight is sealed where the body of the mod meets the tank deck? Has anyone popped the bottom cover off yet??

If Smoant if watching...the charge port needs to be moved to the display side if possible. To be used as a pass-through where it is now is problematic unless your left handed. Not a deal breaker though. As noted by others it should definitely be redesigned to have the battery safety ports on the bottom.

I guess no mod is perfect. What's problematic for some isn't for others. As far as the bottom cover, I'm not a tinker'er by any stretch of the imagination & would end up not being able to get it back on for some strange reason so I will definitely leave this up to the people who like to take stuff apart.

Well I have another one on the way that will be here Tuesday so as soon as I'm sure that one functions ok I may investigate on one. I dont think I own anything I havent tore apart at one point...as far as the spare parts left over afterwards...we dont talk about it! LOL

I know the deck is adjustable but will it come all the way out...can liquid get into the electronics past that...can we take it out to clean under it. The manual explains the battery and display and thats it.

@pokemom -- is the plate on the S'ant the same as Seatbelt (in terms of removal, cleaning, etc.)?
They look exactly the same to me, but I haven't tried adjusting or cleaning the smoant yet. It does look like it would "act" the same, the plate looks exactly the same.

Ok...This thing is cast pot metal...fairly straight forward.

Now see, just looking at this pic is more than enough reason for me to not take it apart. I once took apart a PSP to change the case. Had more parts left outside of it than in.
I learned my lesson!!

Thanks, dear one. I was curious. I've become kwite the expert at removing and cleaning the Seatbelt plate. (Dire circumstances caused perfection.)
Would taking the tosser apart help fix a sticky button? If so would you teach me?

Pokes, Mini sent out complete instructions for disassembly in order to take out (clean) the buttons. There is NO WAY in hellsbells that I would attempt that! The innards are not for the squeamish. It's tightly packed in there, and the instructions have a few warnings.

That said, you CAN do it. Let me see if I can find the recipe (for disastah?).

Back in a bit.

Okie dokie, here ya go, Pokie. (#12 scared me the most) :D

Here is the instruction how to take off the buttons:
1) unscrew 3 screws at the bottom
2) take off the cap carefully
3) unscrew the screw under the cap, from the side of a hole, using the allen key which was in the box
4) pull out the box with buttons carefully
5) unscrew 4 screws at the backside of the box
6) clean the buttons
7) assemble the box with buttons
8) insert the box with buttons to it's place
9) screw the screw which holds the button. NOTE: it should not stick out because it can cause screen damage
10) insert the cap carefully (don't push!). NOTE: check that the screen is at it's place, in other case it can be damaged
11) screw the cap with 3 screws carefully, don't press
12) good luck

Ok the coil that came pre-installed in the Knight/Talos was GREAT!!! Popped in a new coil from the ones I just received & thought I died & went to hell. Tried to vape thru what I was tasting & just couldn't do it. Popped in another coil & all is right again in my world.

My g/f said "you must love that thing- haven't seen you use anything else since you got it!"

Take bottom plate off (2 screws) Then a setscrew holds the button assembly in place (allen screw) remove that. Pull the button assembly out the front of mod. Unscrew the back plate (cant remember 2 or 4 philips screws). Then you find the 3 buttons and a circuit board. About the only thing you might be able to fix is the external buttons that make contact with the circuit board...... its not really that hard

I must say that my experience with the Knight has been less than spectacular. It weighs a ton, and aside from that there have been several occasions where I press the button and....nothing. No power to the coil. Moved the very same tank to my Provari and it works every time. All things considered, I have to say that I am disappointed, and the Knight is being banished to the shoebox as an emergency mod. If I still had the box I'd sell it.

Still waiting on a decent SBS mod for under $100. Given the FDA shenanigans, I may never see one. The Plato works well, is cheap, and takes nautilus coils, but changing the coil is a pain if there is any eliquid in the tank.

Sorry to hear your issues you are having. I have been using 1 fulltime since 4.11.16 and it has fired every single time I have pressed the button. I purchased another 1 last week to get a matching set and with all this fda crap just trying to decide how many more to buy.

I'm also sorry you're having a hard time with yours. Mine has fired each & every time I've pushed the fire button. Outside of one dud coil, I've nothing to complain about.
