and you don't mind plastic.

I sure don't mind plastic. Actually I have an old skool little mod that was very much the topic of conversation tonite. Its adorable.

(stop it. i did that on porpous)

It's truly adorbs, and lighter in weight than anything I own. Yes, it's a plastic body with a lightweight (prolly) alum. frame. Cuter than cute, but old skool.

Anyone remember the Nuck Fistpack? This was the second gen, called the Vaporluxe.

I've been waiting four years to get my hands on that thing. It's a Cool Fire before there were Cool Fires!

Tracking info to follow, ya?

You tease.

At the rate they're dropping from China, Aik, I'm thinking somewheres around next Tuesday. Keep those eyes peeled.
Kinda like most electronics; the longer I can put off buying, the better and cheaper they get (with the exception of broadband).

You have the bestest collection of old skool mods! I still remember one you had called 'lil sister. I had just joined ecf. Ever take a family pic?

Awwwwww, thanks, aik.

There really aren't that many any more. Most have gone bye bye to people who really appreciate the "way we were".

I DO still have the Little Sister tho! Maybe I can pose these two (and a few others) for that family shot?

So I got home & there was a package from DHL & I was confused because I hadn't ordered anything. Open it up and there were a couple of UNOs in it. Apparently Bruce had sent me a couple early samples even though he knew they really weren't my vaping style (he knows full well I am a TC guy) as he still wanted my feedback on them. I think he is thinking if he can win me over with this unit it will confirm he has a winner. He seems pretty proud of it.

Unit is smaller than I thought and also lighter than I thought for an Artery product (which are usually heavy duty zinc construction) and I'm guessing that has to do with the use of 6063 aluminum & zinc in this build. It came in at 130g. The Blue smooth anodized finish is quite fetching & a bit lighter in color than in pics & video, the trim lines set it off nicely, & build quality is top notch & sturdy.

UNO comes with a 510 tapered semi soft drip tip, child lock opening & the coil lacks normal larger wicking holes a JT coil would use in favor of the bottom fed capillary tubes ring they used on their Mace Tank coils which are handy for vaping the tank almost dry & do very well even with VG (I mostly use 70/30). Its just a 5 click on/off unit w/ only a fire lever, a Green, Yellow, Red tank LED indicating battery voltage that you can also see around the USB below the fire lever & a 10sec cutoff. At this point I have filled tank & vaped it pretty much dry & just filled again on the 0.7ohm NiCr coil & tank LED is still green off the charge it had straight out of the box & vape has not yet deteriorated with the expected voltage drop.

Gives a pretty decent hit for for an unregulated mod & will give a restricted lung hit with the airflow wide open a bit tighter than a Cubis/Egrip II on a notch coil (all I use in those) without any hint of the spitting I get on a notch coil & a more atomized vape. Not crazy about the airflow adjustment as it turns very easily due to the child proof design & it is kind of easy to suddenly inadvertently find yourself with a pretty tight draw and it doesn't have stops at wide open or closed down but just spins around alternating somewhere between the two. You have to line up the airflow slots with a triangle mark to know where your airflow setting is. Very comfortable in the hand & very stealthy. Love the firing lever feel as it does not have too much tension and has a satisfyingly soft click to it.

While I never thought I would really like a non TC unregulated mod anymore, this little AIO SxS is really sort of growing on me. I'll see how long the battery lasts before the vape drops to unacceptable levels & edit this post later with an update & a pic.

Thanks so much for the first impression! I'm interested in this little guy. Can you tell me is the drip tip removable?

^^^ what she said — possibly interested depending on the drip tip ^^^ Thanks for doing the review — much appreciated.

Yes. It is a removable 510 Drip tip. Sorry thought 510 drip tip covered that it was removable & had a 510 standard drip tip socket.

It has dual o-rings on the drip tip and my drip tip from the Serpent in my Knight v2 slips right in but wobbles slightly as it is a single o ring and that may be worn a bit.

LOL!

Has a lot to do with that Summa AIO unit they put out a while back. I lobbied that guy for 6 months to incorporate a DNA75 into an aluminum version of the Summa with a slightly larger 22mm ID diameter tank & create an open source modular mod stressing flexibility the of the design they created.

I loved that the Summa design was accessible from the bottom & the top & even went so far as to submit a 12 page marketing proposal & mock up a Cut Sheet sales brochure a couple months before the deeming deadline so they would have a 2 yr jump on anyone else trying to enter the sector of a modular all in one I was proposing. I wanted an AIO with the best TC Board available that could take RBA Decks or coils from any popular 22mm atty on the market whether top or bottom access & adapt to standard 510 tanks & squonking RDAs. Never could get him to bite & this unit being able to use JT coils I guess is in some small way his nod to thank me for my efforts.

Attached is the two page product FAKE NEWS Flyer I mocked up for his consideration to give them a head start in complying with the deeming rules if he created an invoice selling me the prototype before 8/8 so he would be legal to sell in USA for 2 yrs. Told him they would sell at premium price like hotcakes but couldn't convince his bosses to consider production.

You can lead a horse to water but .... You can't stop him from taking a dump in it.

That's freaking GREAT!!!!!

If someone made anything like that Uno, regulated for folks like me, I'd jump all over it. I tried to embrace the unregs, many moons ago, and it failed me miserably. I need control, I guess.

LOVE the look, and they've already got the orange down pat (no pun intended). Now if they just added an aquamarine, Pokes & me would be some happy kampers.

Didn't amount to anything but truly believe the modular flexible AIO concept has great potential in the marketplace. Just couldn't get them to invest any more into the Summa as their sales were less than their expectations on the original design. I know I would have bought more than one myself.

Maybe I'm just way off base.
