From youtube reviews the cigreen and infinite king v2 are top-notch kings v2...

I got my from FT from a link Ninja gave me, which he gotten two from prevously(but different though each). That's the knurled brass version, though and I don't remember where he got his copper v3 and ss v2... The knurled brass has just gotten discontinued on FT though...

Sorry for butting in on Ninja's behalf... :)

@Bad Ninja Do you have a preferred company for the king v2 clone? I'm seeing ones from Infinite, and another from Cigreen and obviously many nameless ones as well. Just curious. Thanks!

Honestly, I have no idea who made any of mine. I have 3 from fasttech, one from focal, one from some random wholesale company and one from 88evape.
:)

Ok so I have "hybrids" and 510 pinned connection mechs. There's no noticeable difference in volt drop so that argument is pointless. There is no benefit that a "hybrid" mech has over a regular 510 adjustable connection except for not have to fiddle around with the adjustable pin. But you do still have to compensate for battery rattle so you still have to adjust somewhere. Then there's the main disadvantage that the smpl has being a one piece mod. If you cross thread the 510 hole while putting in the atty, congratulations you now have to replace the whole mod instead of just one piece. Also what is wrong with having a mod that is.... get ready for this..... modular. As in can take multiple battery sizes. I love my 18350's. Throw on a goblin mini and you got pocket friendly vaping action. There's no reason to not get a mod with a normal 510 connection, you don't have to worry about pins not protruding enough or adjusting your pins and making your positive post loose.

You are right on, and I agree 100% ....except for the use of the word "hybrid".
A SMPL isn't a hybrid. "Hybrid look" or "direct to battery" mod.
I'm not being a stickler, this has caused a lot of confusion lately

Besides the king, nemesis, smpl, fu chai, stingray, are there any others I should consider? Also for the aforementioned mechs, what clones are good ones? And are there any authentics that you guys would suggest that don't burn a hole in ones wallet? I appreciate all this feedback a lot. You guys really love your mechs lol.

Authentic at a decent price?
GP Paps v4 ( any mod from vapourart is good)
GP PAPS version 4
About $110.
Excellent device, great company, quality is second to none, fit and finish are top quality, and there's a ton of people here that swear by them.

Nobody ever brings up the SMOK Magneto anymore. Here is a vid and a pic. It's a great vid because RIP is extremely baked[emoji12]

The switch is magnetic. No springs. Switches with springs can be a PITA. Switches with many moving pieces are a PITA. SMOK has other newer mods out as well. They fit all battery sizes. Worth a look.

You can get an authentic Smpl+ By Epic Design Studio for $130 at vaporholicshop.com or a Rem Mod by Rem Creations for $100 with free shipping from thevaporlair.com.

What kind of ....ing idiot cross threads the 510? Seriously?!? If you had a Smpl mod with a 18650 battery it wouldn't be much taller than a mod with an adjustable 510 and locking ring using a 18350. A Smpl with a 3 ml Aromamizer is a perfect pocket friendly mod! There is no reason to get a mod with an adjustable 510.

Panzer by Shenxi..... :thumb:
Several different Models/Finishes and Material makeup (Copper, Brass, SS). Recessed bottom Buttons w/Locking Ring so you can set it down without having to lock I down every time which IS quite the PITA. Very well made and very resilient. Nice weight, feel, and Aesthetics (IMO). Personally only ever owned the Copper ones (Red Phoenix & Hellfire Models) and they hit well with very little Voltage loss.
Price Points vary by Model and Vendor. I've seen them run $55-$85 shipped.
Check those out and see what ya think. For what it's worth,,,, I liked my Infinite Stingray but never "missed" it after selling. I LOVED my Shenxi Panzers and wish I would have kept at least 1 of them.
From personal experience, can't go wrong with a Shenxi or Infinite made Mech or Atty

@budd77 trust me, I've seen several people cross thread the hybrid style 510 connections. To me there's just no real advantage of a hybrid style connection over a standard 510 connection mech except for length. I don't know why your so hard up for the smpl. I mean its a good mod but the OP is obviously concerned with safety or he wouldn't have asked here for suggestions. So I think a standard 510 connection and a locking ring is probably the best bet. It's safe and offers the same performance and it's only going to be what an inch taller. Big freaking deal.

@Bad Ninja that's why I put quotation marks around it. I know it's a misnomer to call it a hybrid but since everyone else calls it that I will use it. Now if I were to say a faux hybrid then some people will shoot me weird looks like I'm talking about some new thing.
