Looking for some advice on symptoms for a new Vaper

I am new here. I have been analog free for about 8 days since I started vaping. I am vaping a very low milligrams, and doing it maybe 8 times a day, about 2-3 puffs at a time. I began noticing that I feel odd about 15 minutes or so after vaping. The symptoms are hard to describe- like a weird chest feeling, droopy head, feels like my pulse slows, disconnected feeling. Just a very odd thing. They last an hour or two.

I know its not a nic OD, my amount is low and I am not vaping that much.

So I am left to think it is one of two things:

1. An allergy to PG or something in my carto?

2. A reaction to the nicotine because I am not getting enough throughout the day, so when I do get it, I react to it? If that even makes sense.

I am so frustrated. I have never gone this long without analogs and am so proud of myself, and I do not want to have to stop vaping because of this. I did order some VG cartos that will arrive mid week, just to see. I am drinking tons of water, so I know I am hydrated well.

Does anyone have any experience with this or have any insight? Thank you.

I am also new, 3 days vaping/3 days analogue free. I am having no issues other then the occasional throat tickle and the need for more water. How much did u smoke before u quit???? Maybe u are not getting enough nicotine, but I would think that would make u antsy and crave a smoke. Maybe u are allergic to something... I have been reading a lot of these forums and I have not heard of these symptoms. When u have it figured out, please fallow up. Good luck!!!!

Hi there. I smoked about 1/2 pack a day of Lights before quitting. I think I am having the problem knowing how much to vape that is the nicotine equivalent to that. I hope I am not allergic, I would be so bummed. I have not heard of allergy symptoms like this before, so I dont know what to do! :(

I have not heard of these symptoms before, but I love your user name! They are my favorite snack!

I hope you figure it out, or it passes quickly. Congrats on 8 days.. that's a big deal.

Haha! I know, arent kale chips awesome! Smoked paprika is my fave way to do them so far. LOL

I hope someone on here can give me some insight. I dont know how to tell if it is an allergy or if its just something with the nicotine (like not taking in enough throughout the day or something).

Are you drinking plenty of water? Both PG and VG are humectants, which means they pull water from the environment around them. When the vapor touches the mucous membranes of our mouth, throat, and lungs they pull water from the tissues and the vapor that is exhaled contains that water, hence the term water vapor from an e-cig. And it's why all the experienced vapors encourage new vapors to dring PLENTY of water to make up for this loss.

I'm not a physician so I'm not about to try to make a diagnosis based on your symptoms. But what you describe could very well be withdrawal symptoms not only from nicotine but all the other chemicals that are present in tobacco smoke. Rather than drop your nicotine, you might consider increasing it. But first, really increase your water intake to make certain you aren't getting dehydrated. It's an easy enough fix before making any major changes.

Not a doctor but there are a lot of chemicals in analogs. I'm 3 months in and still get weird feelings. Still having withdraw symptoms from those other chemicals. It's better now than it was at the beginning but I still get those weird feelings now and then. Also most people tend to vape more than they smoked. This can cause nic od and you not even realize it.

If the symptoms continue for more than a day or 2 I would recommend you consult a doctor. You could have an allergy to either PG or VG.

I like my kale chips with nutritional yeast and a little sea salt.

I don't get the opportunity to vape that much, so I did increase my nic level (like above poster suggests), it helped tremendously, but my symptoms were classic withdrawal (edgy, irritable, easily frustrated) in other words, very unpleasant to be around!

I'm definitely hydrating enough in my opinion. And the symptoms of start after I vape, and not immediately. Which led me to believe it might be nicotine related. I don't know. I don't know what a Dr would tell me, except not to vape anymore. I don't want to do that if possible.

I also feel cranky irritated and unwell much of the time.

This sounds like nic and tobacco withdrawal to me. But as I said, I'm not a physician.

There could also be some PG or VG intolerance, too. Try to find some 100% VG and 100% PG juices and vape each to see if you continue to have the symptoms. You may need to do some experimentation with PG/VG juice ratios and nicotine strength before you find the right match for you. It will be worth it in the long run.

You are most likely correct your physician is only going to tell you to stop vaping, as he more than likely knows less about electronic cigarettes than you. I should know as I work with physicians all the time. Most are clueless and ignorant about this.

I'd hate to see you have to give up vaping and return to smoking cigarettes, a most certain slow death sentence.

I thought mine
was possible nic withdrawal too, but couldn't account for it happening shortly AFTER vaping. Unless I was going too long between capes and not introducing enough nic into my system... I just don't know.

The cartos I'm using are pg, so I've got some vg now in the mail to me.

I am new to vaping as well. My husband and i have been vaping for about a month now.

I had very similar symptoms when i first started. My husband did not. At one point i thought i was going to have a heart attack, and the dizziness was awful. I didnt know if it was withdrawal from 35 years of smoking 2 packs a day, or the vaping. When the irritation kicked in, i put my money on withdrawal, vaped a bit more to "help" and it went away in a couple of days.

As others have said, I am not a doctor either, but i tend to not trust western docs anyway ;)
