. . .it doesnt look like its going to last much longer. the last thing you want is to go back to cigs wants all vendors get shut down. it will happen sooner then later. stop while you can now. good luck all.

see you on the other side.

I too quit vaping. But, it wasn't because I thought it was going to be shut down. Of all the possibilities. . .that's probably the last thing that might happen. JMHO

Cheers,

See? This thread wasn't a total waste of time - TIL I can't grow tobacco in my yard.

I'll add that to the list of unenforceable laws on the books. I'm gonna ask my neighbor who's a cop if she's ever heard of this and if so, what she'd do if she caught someone growing tobacco.

I would love to hear the answer, we used to buy loose tobacco and roll our own cause it was so much cheaper. A couple weeks ago we were at a Blue Grass Jam and one of our friends said they were going to start taxing the pipe tobacco because so many people were buying it to roll with. My fiancé told him it was time to start growing his own, and about 3 people chimed in at once not to do that, it was illegal without some kind of tax permit, or license, I don't remember exactly what it was called. I hope they are not taxing air yet....

Just like moonshine/home brewing, it is not illegal to grow and process tobacco, provided it is for your own consumption (and I can't see this changing with new regulation). Taxes, licensing, and government regulation do come into play, however, if you intend to sell it.

As a general rule, provided it is a legal product in the first place, you can pretty much grow/make whatever the heck you want for your own consumption, it's when you start selling it and making money on it that the government jumps in and wants a piece - or, more likely, several pieces - of your pie.
