I am on Indian land
I'm so sorry you went through such horrible stuff!

And no, you don't get kicked out of the club. This is where you do these fun club activities:
;)

1) post your story down in the health section, so other people who hang out down there and are likely to know things will see it

2) call the company where you got the cartomizers and ask them what flavorings are used and find out all you can about the ingredients in those flavorings, you can ask that here, too.

3) Before you order any more cartomizers from anybody, call first and find out what flavorings THEY use, and keep calling and emailing and posting around until you find a company that uses DIFFERENT flavorings from anything you've had before.

4) Talk to other people who have had bad reactions to flavorings, preferably some of the same ones that bothered you, and find out which flavors work for them.

The idea is to find out as much as possible about what made you sick, so you can make sure to ingest different things next time, thus reducing the chance of getting sick again!

No -- one does not get kicked out of the club.

Nope, no kicking out here, but anyone is free to leave for any length of time.

While it may look like we are all on the same journey, each path is an adventure and unique.

Thankfully, here, there will be somebody who's been across your path, or near enough, to suggest what may lie ahead.

A reset seems like a wise move to me. Isolate the issue so it can be addressed. Until you know, you won't know what you don't know.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. :)

And I like that phrase, Hoosier - "reset". I think that's exactly what I need because I sure as heck don't want to give up!!! :glare:

I'll wait for the dust to settle and then climb right back up there on that horse.;)

just a thought...perhaps you are having a bad reaction to PG in the flavor you were using. maybe the cherry cartos you were using had a lesser ratio of PG in them. i'd recommend trying a VG only vape flavor to see if that fixes the issue for you. there's tons of people who have bad reactions to PG but VG works fine...

reset is a good idea, hopefully its nothing too serious (my first thought would be flu honestly, that's how I felt when I got the flu last year, I just wanted to freakin die) but you wanna do it, you'll get there :) You gotta feel good too though, that's definitely important. Stay hydrated and call your doctor if it continues.

Don't worry about the slight "reset" some of us need that from time to time. Shortly after I first started using ecigs I got really really sick and went back to analogs (regular cigs) and told myself that I was just a failure. Well my son wouldn't give up on me and had me trying every new thing that came out - back then there weren't a lot of choices.
I've found over time that if I spend the whole day vaping I still have a lot of stomach issues but if I alternate I don't. It has taken me a while but I am to the point where I now only smoke about 1/4 of a pack (down from almost 2 packs a day) and vape the rest of the time.
You may be one of those who needs to take it slowly! You don't have to try every new flavor out there all at once! T
Take your time listen to your body. I know it is difficult because we hear of those who were able to switch immediately and figure we should be able to too. Remember we all are different - you will eventually get to where you want to be it may not be right away but you will get there! Not everyone can run a marathon at the same pace.
You have a great many people who are pulling for you to cross that finish line no matter how long it may take you!

so I'm really leaning towards the idea that it had something to do with the flavorings.
That is my problem....Flavorings.....I'm allergic to most I have tried . Some are so bad that they almost killed while others only send my head in a spin. I tried vaping unflavored juices and have no problems except unflavored juices are YUK!

The night that I got so sick - and hurt my foot on the way into the bathroom? Turns out I really hurt my foot. Called my daughter 5:30 in the morning on that following Tues. and she ended up taking me to the ER. Wearing a "boot" and on heavy-duty pain meds that aren't doing much more than making me very sleepy and confused. Too bad they don't make me sleepy enough to deal with the pain. Ouch! Vaping is still on hold - can't handle being sick to my stomach, having bathroom issues & wicked headaches while I'm dealing with my foot (can't hobble to the bathroom quick enough). I'll still be around though - posting if I'm up to it. I never log out though, so it may appear that I'm "here" when I'm not.

Thanks for the PM's - and Hooiser - thanks!, I'll get back to you (and others) as soon as I can form a rational thought.

Sorry I haven't been around. :(
