It isn't patience, more along the lines of resignation. It is too hot to go outside and I can't do too much that involves walking or standing. So I do what I can to battle boredom while sitting down.
I have an almost 9 year old grandson who's into Lego's big time.

Willie, I have several Picos and really like them. 1 I use, 2 in the stash. I like single 18650 external battery, 80 watts or under (the highest I vape is 11 watts with an approx 1.5 Ω coil (which I build myself on an RBTA - rebuildable tank attomizer). I got away from internal batteries and relying on pre-made pop in coils long ago because I knew I needed to be self sufficient). I also have been strictly DIY since the beginning of 2017 (New Year's resolution I actually held!!). I have a bunch of Evods and know how to rebuild them. Spare parts and all. I have a big stash of mods I can get by with (including a few Zmaxes. The Zmax was my first external battery mod and although I don't use anymore, they are safe in the stash just in case).

Remember a few years ago I offered to rebuild your Evod coils? Offer still stands. Not every one is perfect ( was rebuilding for Geordi's breeder for years until she switched to a Zenith, but she is in the "coils may go away" category and still doesn't hesitate to light up a cigarette or 2, or 3, or, well, it's very discouraging. And she is an ER Nurse!!!).

Lots of good info has been presented and will continue to be.

I'm also thinking that when I decide what to get, I'll try it and if I really like it, just load up on that stuff .. no need to continue to try this and that, just sink the moola into one setup .. no .. ??

Definitely! You don't need a plethora of different things, finding what works for you is the key and the hard part. Get spare parts, duplicates for parts and backup. I will keep my eye out for you and others. Most of what I have is not available anymore, at least not at the prices I found them! $20 is my magic number for mods and I have done pretty well. Some I like more than others, but that's OK. They all would work in a pinch.

     . . . "My" BAD . . .

Yes - Those are them and here are links to the other "Stuff" I mentioned (plus 1 more):

    MODS:

Endura T18 Starter Kit by Innokin

Endura T18 II Starter Kit by Innokin

Haven't used this one: Endura T20 Starter Kit By Innokin

    Tanks:

    Innokin T22 Prism Tank

    T20 Prism Tank by Innokin

    Coils:

    Innokin Endura T18 / T22 Replacement Coils (5 Pack)

    Prism S Replacement Coils for T20s (5pk)

Hopefully, Ya' can find an MFS discount code before you order anything . . . ;)

Also - You may also find them less expensive by a few dollars at vendors too . . . * Hint - Hint * . . . I found this at My Vapor Store Innokin Endura T22 Starter Kit

That long lasting (3 Months ..) .. must be a World Record ..

I don't know if it is a "World Record", but I think it is only because I take care of them by cleaning them every so often (not to often) and very carefully . . . 1) Rinse with Hot Water - 2) Let Soak in sm container that has Hot Water with a drop of Dawn over night - 3) Rinse Well and let soak in sm container with hot water overnight again - 4) Drain / Rinse and let dry overnight . . . If the filler is a little most don't worry . . . Just - Prime Coil with E-liquid - Place back into tank and fill tank . . . Use . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Oh and BTW: Doesn't always work, the filler will sometimes come out of hole in coil when Ya' least expect it too . . . So I had to replace coil . . .

    Hope the information is helpful . . . ;)

Good point .. I guess if I'm looking for the possibility of the Longest Lasting Gear, a replaceable battery would make sense .. I did buy a nice charger back when I got the I/E whatever devices, but I never bought a Battery .. o_O

    I have both just in case . . . ;)

"My" favorite, Mech Mod is "the BOLT" (the first one I ever got/WON - it was a door prize at a local vape meet too ). The only problem it doesn't work any more and I cannot figure out what cause the problem - nor how to get it fixed . . . :(

I'm also thinking that when I decide what to get, I'll try it and if I really like it, just load up on that stuff .. no need to continue to try this and that, just sink the moola into one setup .. no .. ??

AGREED . . . :headbang:  :headbang:  :headbang:  :headbang:

Oh if Ya' only knew what I actually have stored in "My" Closet . . .

Yup, replaceable battery only, for the long haul.

And double yup, once you find a device that does what you want (and probably more), multiples work. That's what I did starting before the August '16 initial cutoff date. Thankfully for me, that came along as so many were going to fog machines, and the prices on tootle gear, both mods and tanks, cratered for a while.

Having multiples of your favorite topper is also a good way to have spare parts :)

AGREED . . . :headbang:  :headbang:  :headbang:  :headbang:

Zlide uses same coils as the Zenith so can't be rebuilt but they last a long time.

I didn't know the Zenith coils could be rebuilt. Do you have any links too the technique, if not I'll have to search that out. The Zentith's are our new 'fav' plug&play tank. We got all three sizes ... next step is to decide which of 'em we like best and get a few more. So far I'm liking the 3ml D22 version.

Since the Zlide doesn't close of the juice flow when filling ... any issues with minor flooding or gurgling after a refill? That annoys me with some tanks.

@Uncle Willie ... I suggest you consider the Zenith's ... folks here turned Janet and me onto them and we both like 'em a lot.

Thanks .. I'm trying to compile a list .. so, you think that ::

    a quantity of these :: maybe 5 or 6 ..
Sigelei Zmax V5 Telescopic VV/VW Starter Kit

    and these ::
    Joyetech eGo ONE V2 Tank

    and these ::
    Joyetech CLR Coils (5pcs)

??? .. I'm sorry, but it just gets so confusing for me .. it's that touch of Dyslexia that I live with .. Does this gear fall into what they call the sub-ohm category .. ?? I'm really not after giant clouds ..

I'd much rather gather info from the Brain Trust here than spend half my life scouring ECF and what not ..

The Sigelei Zmax's are a decent mod if you're OK with a tube mod. They last a decent amount of time on the charge from an 18650 batt but are quite long in that mode. The shortest config using an 18350 was my preferred mode but then make sure you have extra batts with you because the charge doesn't last real long. It's also take an 18490 which is the compromise in length of tube and batt life.

We had a number of them (not the telescope one, the ones with extension tubes for the different batt configurations) and they compared favorable with the Provari tube mods for 1/10 the price.

This is what I posted about earlier for those who like zenith/coils, great deal on them (discount depends on how much you buy), discount codes here:(click on Dogust)
eJuice - Vape Products and Premium eLiquids - Cheap Prices on eJuice

here are 0.8 ohm zenith coils, works out to a little over 5 bucks a pack of 5 if you spend over 80 before the 35% discount:
Innokin Zenith Vape Tank Replacement Coils (5-Pack)

    Zenith tanks:
    Innokin Zenith MTL Tank (4ml)
Innokin Zenith D22 MTL Tank (3ml)
    Innokin Zenith D22 Tank

and my favorite (uses the same zenith coils) Zlide
    Innokin Zlide Tank

I keep checking back ejuice hoping they'll restock the 1.6Ω coils. Willie if you go for the Zenith or Slide Zlide I'd suggest the 1.6Ω coils not the .8Ω coils. I think 1.6Ω coils will better fit your vaping style.

    @Uncle Willie
Here's a US vendor with the Pico 75 and a choice of getting the full kit, or mod only. I've bought from this store many times. Eleaf iStick Pico 75W TC

I'm not a huge fan of the Melo III tank, but as long as you pick a tank smaller than 22mm, it will fit on the Pico.

We have some of the original Pico's and they've held up well. I forgot off hand what models they are but some are the size of the Pico 75 and some are skinnier and taller. We like the squat ones better.

I suggest you consider any of the Pico's in the $30 +/- range that have been linked previously coupled with a Zenith or Zlide for serious consideration. That said, I'm not familiar personally (like w/ the Pico and Zenith) with the eGo One and CLR coils but all around ECF I've seen favorable comments about them.

Oh ... and if you're looking for really long batt life ... one of those Pico links was for a model that takes either 18650 or 21700. Those 21700 have around 5000 mAh of capacity, you could vape a couple days between charges. The 18650's are around 3000 mAh. I think the Spinners are around 1200 mAh.

Definitely go for a mod with replaceable batteries.

aaarrg! I quoting myself because I might have mislead Uncle Willie when I mentioned on of the iStick being 18650 or 21700. Could have sworn when I looked at the links one of them took either batt. I just went back and only found these three links and none take both batts.

Here's the recent past posts / links.

    #20911 - cats5365 (Fran has these too)
    18650 $27.95

Did I see one of 'em that took both batts or did I make it up in my mind out of confusion?

    Good morning everyone :)

So Rossum's thread is such a great service, especially to newer vapers who may not know about the upcoming vapicalypse but it sure has me thinking about my stash. I know I'm well stocked for the rest of my life. I know I have backups for backups. I know I have more than enough nic. So why am I thinking that maybe I should re-examine said stash and maybe add to it?:rolleyes:
I had thought I was stocked up. But, as new waves of panic come through, I re-think and add more. For example, I first estimated that I used a liter of 100 mg/ml nic in 5 years. But, over time I've changed to mostly tanks. I based my original estimate on dripping on a 306, the most conservative possible use of nic. There's more waste with tanks or cartos. So, now my estimate is 3 - 4 years for each liter. Plus, I mix for my sister too and likely for anyone else in the family that decides to vape. So, about once a year I buy even more nic.

YEP - Very much like a Provari (although there are many others who would disagree) . . . Matter of fact, I have 4 of the Zmax by Sigeli, however they're the Stainless Steel ones w/extensions that were offered before they were offered to the public (very different configuration and also came in 2 styles Flat & Dimpled Tops . . . ;) ) in the "Verified" area - quite affordable at the time too . . . :headbang::headbang::headbang:

Like I said before - if Ya' only knew what I actually have stored in "My" Closet . . .
Oh and let "Me" clearly state - it's not "Me" in the Closet - it's just my "STUFF". . .

For me, it has to be rebuildables. Yes, relatively easy at this time to stock up on blister paks, but how many?? Kanthal and other resistance wires will be untouched by the FuDA.
Likewise, replaceable battery mods. And maybe a few mechs for last resort...
Basically the same plan. I do have some blister packs, but only those that can be rebuilt if necessary. And, I do still have some built-in battery mods, those that are left over from before I started prepping and buying only replaceable battery mods (of every variety).

Although I may run out of something or other, I can always just switch to another type of setup. Lots to choose from.

I have a big stash of mods I can get by with (including a few Zmaxes. The Zmax was my first external battery mod and although I don't use anymore, they are safe in the stash just in case).
Does the Zmax take a button-top or flat-top battery? Just asking because button-tops are harder to find nowadays.
