I was always under the impression that it was the nic that provided the throat hit .. ?? No .. ??

Mostly from the nic, yes, and somewhat from PG if on the high end.

But some flavors are harsher than others, just like in foods. As in not all chili's have the same heat index.

Then there's the flavors that melt plastic... I don't mix anything with "tank crackers", a personal choice, as I've never seen / read of any problems from them.

Not yet... These are all quite small, 8" x 8". Feedback I've gotten from friends on FB is that they're looking for something a bit bigger...11 x 14 or larger. I have plans for quite a few bigger paintings, as soon as I'm comfortable enough to strike out with my own ideas and original paintings.

Personally, I'm still waiting for "Infrastructure Week" .. I hit a pothole on the Interstate the other day that I swear you could count to 3 before my tire hit bottom .. probably destroyed my alignment ..

They had a crew out the other day on the Poplar St Bridge going into STL that were working on an actual Hole thru the roadway .. when you passed by at 20MPH, you could see the Mississippi thru that hole ..

If a piece of SS, even a tiny piece, gets cut, the Wrath of the Oldsters will be felt Nationwide .. there is no way, IMO, anybody is going to cut those programs .. and, if by a slim chance they did, the Electorate would boot the Bums out ASAP .. and restore whatever was cut .. with backpay ..

You remember how far the GWB administration got when they floated the "Privatization" idea .. ?? They think the Gun Lobby is strong .. ?? They got nothin' ..

Ummmmmmmmm...I am one of those......is there a problem? Trump is NOT going to cut any benefits like that especially for those of us who have been the beneficiaries of it for years. Mostly it would be (if it were to happen at all) on illegals and others who get the money without raising a hand to try to earn it.

I get tired of folks that believe Un-Documented Workers are draining the System .. (and, could we Drain the Swamp, please .. ??) ..

It's simply untrue .. Americans are draining the System .. I'm all for the Safety Net as it relates to Welfare / Disability, etc .. but the sheer abuse and fraudulent claims that folks make in order to get some "Free Cheese" borders on the absurd, IMO .. the Government knows this and figures on fraud being a piece of the action, simply because it's impossible to fully investigate any and all claims ..

And, off on a Tangent .. Un-Documented Chicken Processing Workers Raided in North Carolina .. ?? Do you think regular Americans are beating the doors down for these jobs, especially at the pay level the "Busted" workers were getting .. ?? Have you looked into the conditions these folks have to put up with .. ??

And why were the Managers / HR People / CEO's not drug out on a Perp Walk .. ??

Well yes if you like a throat hit. I don't. I am not getting what you would call a throat hit, more of an irration with too much flavoring. I think its more of the longer we use a flavor the more sensitized we become to it. Since i reduced mine the vape is so much more enjoyable. And at the end of the day i am no longer getting a sore throat from vaping. I do chain vape
more than i should.
Just my 2 pennies.

Seems most (all) recent "vape" related illnesses are due to "vaping" illegal street, uh, purchases. NOT nic.

I even went to Amazon, and sure enough I could buy all kinds of different packaging for 'Dank Vapes' branded vape (a very popular brand per the article) and empty clearmizers to fill with whatever I have in the garage and sell it looking just like a commercial product. Holy .... Batman.

Amazon has taken a lot of criticism for various reasons ... but selling these is just not ethical given whats going down 'out there' ... Amazon should pull the dozens and dozens of listings for this packaging immediately.

I've had a persistent dry cough now for a few months .. finally went in and had my DR take a look/listen on Monday .. it seems that the many years I spray painted and airbrushed without breathing protection (years ago, I did eventually start using a respirator) .. combined with the Vape (in his opinion), is what has created the issue .. my DR insisted I quit the Vape tout suite .. it's been tough ..

For those of you that offered me some Free Vape Gear, I appreciate it very much but, I'm going to do my best to follow DR's orders .. so, I must, respectfully, decline .. but your kind offers were very nice ..

The "collapsed lung / vaping hospitalizations" that have been all over the News have not helped my normal Paranoia, either ..

Whether I can stay Nicotine Free for any real period of time, we'll see ..

This scenario does not change anything as far as my Thread Participation at all .. it's just another Speed Bump I have to deal with ..

Good to hear from you. Been wondering where you've been. Just not so good to hear what you had to say. Best of luck getting beyond vaping. And I'm glad to hear you'll still be around here.

I tend to agree with David ... vaping is going on 10 years or so now ... and these incidents, as tragic as they are ... seem to have their roots outside the mainstream of vaping. Something definitely going on but I'm skeptical that we'll get unbiased reporting from the news and/or investigative reports.

Sorry to hear about your health problems. I'm wondering too about a recent cough being due to vaping if you haven't had it for all this time. Still, if you stop vaping and feel better then that's a good thing. The recent news reports about the comas etc made my blood boil. They were only reporting about it being due to vaping and only recently have I heard a brief mention that the extreme problems MAY have been caused by what stuff was being vaped. Ya think? Millions of people have been vaping for several years and they haven't gone into comas - might be a clue.

Every time mention is made about cutting SS there is also mention that people already on it, or close to being on it will not be affected. I sure hope that's the case now. Can't pull the rug out from people who haven't had time to prepare for it or there will definitely be a major revolt! SS was never meant to be the only source of income and people have arranged their lives on what they're currently getting. I fear it's not going to be there at all for our kids. Maybe the SS "lock box" shouldn't be used for what it wasn't intended for in the first place.

I think since I've been off the smokes now for better than 8 years (other than the 4 I bummed at various times .. ) .. and the fact that the dry cough was a relatively recent development, Doc was really looking for what suddenly brought it on .. he unchecked the smoker question in my file years ago ..

I suddenly developed a fairly constant dry cough not too long ago. Before I had a chance to ask the doctor about it, I happened to hear (right here on ECF, I think on one of the Old Folks threads) about a certain medication that caused other people to start coughing. I can't remember what it was. A statin, maybe. Can't remember.

Anyway, I stopped taking it, and my cough disappeared. Just like that. When I did finally see the doctor, I told him about it. He said that's a common side effect and gave me something else instead. Cough never came back.

I really hate how the media blames the problems on vaping. It isn't until you really dig into the story and near the end might mention that it was a cartridge that that may contain harmful ingredients.

On the display were 9 paintings by local artists. Have you checked your local businesses to see if they have anything similar for showcasing local artist?
