I've never had much sense of style. I always liked riding bikes, climbing trees, exploring down the railroad track, using little cars to create roads in the sand or pretending. The jungle gym in my grandmother's backyard was so many different things. A cave, a spaceship, the belly of a whale, . . .

Or indoors, lots of forts and pretend worlds, Legos, or creating fantasy houseplans with secret passages, hidden jungle gyms, underwater caves, huge libraries, and interesting mazelike floorplans.

LOL...I didn't spend all my time with dolls...;) I climbed trees, hiked and roamed down to the (forbidden) Big Ditch to search for tadpoles or frogs and cattails...rode my bike for miles on end, collected any interesting rocks I came across... a favorite place to play was what was left of the basement of a building that had burned down...many imaginary adventures took place there...

Different strokes....;) I spent countless hours designing, draping, learning to draft patterns, create and sew for them. Childhood dreams of growing up to be a designer so that I could dress my beautiful Mother in wonderful garments....

But...but...you see... you're a talented creative person!

I am too, in my own way tho...

I just create havoc and turmoil...

BUT..I'm very very good at it!

It was just a shell....completely open to the sky, the structure above was completely gone....big chunks of concrete strewn about....it was a castle... a pirate ship... a fort...whatever we chose it to be...

I never thought of myself as a tomboy. I was never very tough. I just loved to move and explore. And, of course, like most of us in the 50's and 60's, there was no air conditioning indoors.

AC isn't needed when you're young...;) When the door on the plane opened on Guam, it was like walking into a steam bath. We didn't even have glass windows.. had louvres and screens, so AC wouldn't have been a possiblity. I loved it then, but couldn't possibly live there now....can't take the humidity with the heat...

Good morning!
I've called three people so far...had to leave voicemail! ...lazy bums....

My usual morning ( tho not this early) routine was having coffee and checking out the weather and getting online. Lately it's changed to the coffee, of course, and the weather and major news. I feel as tho we're living in a triple whammy situation for the past months...extreme weather, bizarre government and world threats. But...we will survive!!

My place was broken into many years ago while I was at work on the afternoon shift. I came home, opened the door and found my place virtually stripped clean ( mind you, I lived in a two-story duplex and the people were home at the time!!) The thieves even took food out of my refrig. I called the police, the neighbors said they saw or heard nothing! The thieves had to have made at least three trips to and fro!
In the talk with the cops they told me to get a handgun and if needed and I had to shoot, then after they'd fallen try to drag them at least halfway out the door so it be self-defense or some such...don't recall exactly except for the part of their being halfway out.

I'm pretty sure you DON'T want them outside at all unless they're facing you like they're on their way in. They're not a threat if they're on the way out (even carrying some of your stuff) because then you can't claim to be fearing for your life.

Dedicated to Mr. Matt :: ;)

"Hard working, capable, and mostly disciplined, you are a person who values that which you have built. Feeling safe and secure are major drives for you, and there is little you want more than to bring harmony into your relationships and environment around you. Your need for communication and mental stimulation is strong, and you are at your best when you are one-on-one. You are somewhat fearful of change, and your life often feels fated. Your attention to detail is outstanding, and you can be a perfectionist. "
