Spring and fall are my favorite times of the year, but seems as if they're not much more than a blip on the radar anymore... Was so nice to be able to turn off the AC over the weekend and now it's back on, going full blast...

No longer have to use the arm sling,,pain is only Excedrin-worthy!

Saw the surgeon yesterday, got a "clean bill of health"!

Yep - it sure was - Or for "Us', now all we have down here is Hurricane season (which thankfully is almost over come November) . . .

Have I ever mentioned that I can't stand going to the DMV .. ??

For the last 3 Drivers License renewal cycles (12 years) .. I qualified for the "Safe Driver" incentive (no tickets/no accidents/no arrests) .. which meant that all I had to do was pay the Sec State the renewal fee by mail or on-line and they updated my License and sent me a new one (with the old photo still, so it was kinda like having the "Picture of Dorian Gray" in reverse .. I would age, but my License picture stayed the same .. )

This go round, I had no choice but to go in, since I had to present my "credentials" for the "Real ID" thing .. get a new photo, etc .. I dreaded it for a month, since the DMV is generally a long wait, a cornucopia of folks with their children running around as they yak on a cell phone .. and a surly Clerk of some sort ..

However, from sign in to walk out took maybe 15 Minutes, as my luck must be hitting a high point and there was only one person ahead of me and they were nearly done .. ..

If I played the Lotto, I should go out and get a ticket or some scratch-offs .. or maybe I should hit a Casino this evening ..

No .. don't need to tempt fate ..

Which brings me to this ::

Many years ago, when I would renew my Drivers License. at one point, I began to try and talk the Clerk at the DMV into letting me keep my old License .. some would, some would not .. those that would not always seemed to spout some obscure Rule or what not .. but, I did talk some out of letting me keep it .. I always figured that if I paid for the durn thing, it belonged to me ..

So, for your amusement, here is a montage of the ones I did talk them out of over the years ..

Interesting. Here they ask if you want to keep the old one. In case the new one gets lost, and you need a picture ID to simplify replacement. If you do want it, they punch it to "cancel" it out.

Yep, new rules for airports... We got the WA "enhanced" licenses a few iterations back, and keep those going. Presumably ok...

with 2 sub forums:

• General Cannabis Discussion
• Cannabis Vape Products

Not sure if it's the current issues in the news or ECF looking to be viable into the future ... But for 'why-ever' ... It's now not verboten to talk about the 'other stuff'. At least not in that Forum not sure yet about in and around ECF in general.
