They just had a huge sale. I could have gotten another model quicker but mine was still on sale. I can deal with waiting when I consider how much I've saved. Can't they locate one at one of their other stores? I'd have made a fuss to see if they could do something to speed up the process. By-the-way, hope you didn't loose much food from your fridge that died.
Morning, loungers.
Dang, the weather guessers got it right, and it's raining. REAL rain, not the scattered mist. (Western WA is, I think, the only place where typical weather 'casts often run to "scattered sun", sun breaks, and 47 kinds of rain)

Well, eastern WA is different but when I lived in W WA, we had t-shirts that said:
WA Rain Festival
Jan. 1st to Dec 31st
I told hubby what you said. His answer: Lowes gives retired/active military 10% on everything 24/7. Take your military ID to the Lowes service desk and they will set it up for you connected with your phone number. After that anytime you shop you give them your phone number to get the discount. It is the little things that I like when it comes to which store I shop at. Home Depot gives me a 10% discount because I am retired military. Lowes will only give a 10% military discount on Veterans Day. It also helps that Home Depot is closer to my house.
I will do this the next time I go out. Thank you!!!I told hubby what you said. His answer: Lowes gives retired/active military 10% on everything 24/7. Not me! The laws are already in effect. New laws would only take weapons from people that are honest, law-abiding citizens. It would not have any effect whatsoever on criminal activity.I've never hid the fact that, although I am a Gun Owner and 2nd Amendment Proponent, I still rest in favor of some movement toward tightening a few things / Gun Show Loophole / etc ..
So, someone's reported to the police for thinking about buying a gun?Uncle Willie said:The City of St Louis is proposing that any that fail the background check be reported by the dealer to the 5 / 0 for any possible follow up .. makes sense to me ..
Yup.I don't know why it's called the Gun Show Loophole, probably just for the 'politics' of it. It's really a Private Sale Loophole.
I didn't know that. I do know that no background checks are required for private sales in Texas. Many gun owners don't want background checks because they don't want to end up on a list. There's a fear of the government ending up with a list of gun owners/gun registration.MikeE3 said:Private sales of handguns and rifles are regulated by the states and the law varies from state to state.
Quite true. People in countries that don't allow guns just kill in other ways.Besides, if someone is crazy enough to want to kill people there's lots of other ways to do that. There is evil in the world and there is crazy and there's no way we'd ever be able to totally get rid of either. How very frightening.
