My daughter is off in southern Ca again...

Well...she just told me where... Monterey... She's really racking up the frequent flyer miles... She's heading back to CA next month to participate in a Spartan Race!!

LOL...Not likely, though it would make a good one. She's only been playing for about 7 years, and only allowed anyone at all to listen or watch in the past couple of years. I was surprised to see she took her guitar along on her trip, but then...I haven't a clue what all of these trips have been about...
Those who've known me here for sometime, know that my relationship with my Daughter isn't all that it should be, so I grab greedily at any little crumbs that come my way. I only found out about the upcoming Spartan Race when my SIL came over to put new batteries in my alarms. He had just finished building an 8' obstacle wall in their yard for her to train on...
I do know that she has to log 500 miles on a dirt bike next spring to qualify for a group excursion she has signed up for sometime in the coming year. Taking off from Kathmandu, Nepal. 12 days on dirt bikes to places such as the birthplace of Buddha, the sacred tree, Bengal tigers, and the never climbed Himalayan sacred mountain Machapuchare.
There will be a couple of Nat Geo photographers in the group, so she promised me some great pics. I explained about copyrights and needing permission to use. She said she'll get me that permission, and that she's taking along her camera as well, so we shall see....

To any of my friends here who may have noticed my absence the past few days... I've been a bit down, both emotionally and physically. I have a really bad cold and as a person who has had so many bouts of bronchial pneumonia, I go to bed and stay there as a precaution. Really wishing I had a bottle of Honey Jack to put in my tea...
